Independent Safeguarding Trainer and Consultant
• Currently working with local authorities within Leicester and Leicestershire on designing and delivering a range
of bespoke training courses to social care professionals and passenger assisted transport including taxi
companies all aspects of safeguarding children namely around issues of child sexual exploitation, safer
recruitment and good practice when working with/transporting children and young people

 Through all my work experiences, I have always held a key responsibility in ensuring safeguarding implications
across all key business delivery areas are understood, and lead on the delivery of effective safeguarding
policies, procedures, practice and performance management to ensure children, young people and vulnerable

4-years Home Office funding bid which was successful.

local domestic and sexual violence support, advocacy and outreach services in Leicester City, UK, including a
county wide domestic and sexual violence helpline support service.
 Successfully coordinated and implemented change management within the volunteering program at DVIRP
through developing and implementing effective in-house volunteer management practices to meet the
requirements of the National Occupational Standards for Volunteer Management, which led to the successful
achievement of the ‘Investing In Volunteers’ accreditation awarded by the United Kingdom Volunteering Forum
in recognition of the high quality standard of DVIRP’s volunteer management and better sustainment of
volunteers.

A poster presented at the University of Leicester’s Festival of Postgraduate Research. The poster presented an
overview of how marriage and traditional cultural practices can provide a coercive tool for sex traffickers. Selected to
represent the University as a finalist in the regional competition funded by the UK Grad Programme.

 Computer literate with a good understanding and advance working knowledge of Microsoft Office software,
