4. Introduction
This research on Absenteeism practices in travel agency’s
employees reveals that one of the major problems is absenteeism
in our travel agencies. Absenteeism is the practice or habit of
being an absentee and an absentee is one who habitually stays
away from work. Employees Absenteeism is a serious problem for
management because it involves heavy additional expenses. In
fact high rates of absenteeism affect an organization state of
health and also supervisory and managerial effectiveness

project I am tried to find out the main causes and other
related causes of employee absenteeism in travel agencies.

STUDY
“ABSENTEEISM” is one of the great disasters faced
by all the organizations in this modernized world
which results in turnover. It is very important to
know the exact reasons of employees’
absenteeism. If we can understand the reasons
of absenteeism them we can reduce it by taking
effective initiative/s. Absenteeism practices is very
much essential for every organization

METHODOLOGYResearch Methodology is defined as a more systematic activity directed towards discovery
and the development of an organized body of knowledge. An efficient research contributes
to the evaluation of a proper decision, which ultimately affects the path the organization will
choose.
In this project, Primary data was collected by Questionnaire Survey. The employee
selected randomly for fulfilling the Questionnaire. And the employees are selected randomly
as sample to avoid any bias.
The secondary data was collected from:
Monthly absenteeism data.
Leave records of employees.
Various report about absenteeism practices

Finally it can be observed that absenteeism can be
controlled and reduced to a great extent if the
employees are committed and are supported by all
levels of management. An effective attendance record-
keeping system, consultation and open communication
by the management can create a healthy productive
work environment in the company. This would reduce
grievances and give greater employee satisfaction.

Absenteeism is a serious problem for travel agencies because it
involves heavy additional expenses. The travel agencies should take
the following measures to reduce the rate of absenteeism:-
Temporary employee can be hired when work lode is high.
Increase the holidays
Co worker should help each other
Job responsibilities should be clear.
Management should provide medical facilities.
Management should not assign the duty like so where employees
feel bore.

Working hours of travel agencies should be less . Otherwise
work environment should be excellent and enjoyable.
Management has to make the work environment excellent so
that employees feel pretty good in work place.
