6. Electricity is a vital element of any country. Without
proper electricity No country cannot achieve Economic
prosperity. Only 62% of Bangladeshi population has
access to electricity. To increase the GDP growth rate
available and reasonably priced electricity is
prerequisite.
 The main reason for the current power crisis in our
country are-
◦ The lack of generation capacity
◦ Poor operational and performance
◦ The power sector has been with distribution system.

7.  Customer satisfaction provides their
dependable power service.
 Concern about future requirement of energy.
 Reduce system loss to a reasonable level.
 Run it commercially to a variable way.
 Installing new line, sub-station etc. in the
newly developed area and existing area to
fulfill the ever rising demand of electricity.

13. At the Substation maintenance period the first step is cut off
greed connection from the maintenance Transformer and
ground it. 2nd step consumer feeder change one Transformer
line to another, Then breaker line cut off from the Bus Bar.
 Operation & Maintenance of Transformer
 Test oil sample of transformer main tank & tap changer tank
 Operation of Tap changer
 Operation of cooling control system
 Operation & Maintenance of Breakers
 Check SF6 gas pressure
 Check for oil leaks
 Operation & Maintenance of Insulator
 Clean and lubricate auxiliary switch contacts
 Operation & Maintenance of Lightening Arrester
 Deformation of corona or stress rings
 Operation & Maintenance of Bus Bar
 Checking of insulation resistance

14.  2kw-8kw Single phase LT
 8kw-49kw 3phase connection
 <50kw HT connection
And Solar power Supply must required to get new
connection for HT.
DESCO take a project to prepaid Metering system which
like as mobile sim . After research a cash card
installed to the meter then connection Automatic run.
When balance is over it give a signal to research it .

16.  Purbachol new town project : 500mw by the
year 2020.
 Uttara 3rd phase residential area-230mw by
the year2020
 In future DESCO can extend their area at
Gazipur.

17.  Day by day increasing the demand of power because of
industrial and life style is developing. So to cover up the
demand establishing the new power plant i.e. Ruppur
Nuclear Power plant. So new distribution company may be
established or present distribution company may be
extended their service. I wish to include myself this type
generation or distribution sector .By managing its
operation in efficient and effective manner providing better
consumer service, desco has become the role model for all
the electricity service providers of Bangladesh.

18.  I praise the almighty for providing us the opportunity and granting
me the capability to complete Industrial training successfully.
