  1. 1. MEDIA PROJECT OPENING SEQUENCE MAX FRANKEL
  2. 2. ABOUT • • • • Title name = vanish Genre= thriller Rating= 15 Plot= A young girl about 8 years old is walking home with her nanny and then the nanny gets distracted. The girl continues to walk home on and then 3 men come out of a black auidq5/range rover, wearing scary masks. They pull up on a sidewalk to kidnap a girl who is on the phone. She is the daughter of a Mafia chief. The rival gang then drive off with the girl and it ends hopefully leading a cliffhanger for the audience.
  3. 3. MIES EN SCENE
  4. 4. LOCATION OF SHOOTING Beaufort street(SW3) London, Chelsea= occasionally busy but sometimes quite which makes it ideal to shoot. The pavement is wide therefore easier to shoot for camera space. The road itself is in a wealthier area and the girl is associated with wealth. This location is also very close to my house making it easy if I have forgotten anything or need something. I’m going to be filming in the afternoon as it is when the girl finishes school.
  5. 5. FILMING Filming will hopefully take place this halfterm as it is the best time for my cast and myself (canon 51x)
  6. 6. CAST • Fabien Frankel= one of the kidnappers • rada student= driver • Rada student 2/ lucas rossi = another kidnapper • Alberto Verme= other kidnapper • Emma Symonds= Kidnapped girl (emma) •
  7. 7. DIALOGUE • “now”= said by driver • “ye, ive had a great day”= said by girl • “go”= said by kidnapper • “Her legs and you get her arms”= said by kidnapper • Emma speaking to the nanny • Nanny speaking to friends as distracted • (screaming by Emma)
  8. 8. DIAGETIC SOUNDS • Diagetic- DIEGETIC SOUND • Sound whose source is visible on the screen or whose source is implied to be present by the action of the film: • * voices of characters • * sounds made by objects in the story • * music represented as coming from instruments in the story space ( = source music) (car pulling up, kidnappers speaking, girl on phone, wind, bag going over girls head, handcuffs on, birds )
  9. 9. NON DIAGETIC SOUNDS • NON-DIEGETIC SOUND • Sound whose source is neither visible on the screen nor has been implied to be present in the action: • * sound effects which is added for the dramatic effect • * mood music (music put in after, car breaking exaggeration, car doors slamming, girl dropping her phone sound effect)
  10. 10. AUDIENCE • I wont the target audience to be late teens and adults. This is because it is going to be a dark thriller aimed at older not at younger kids who might get extremely scared. • The target audience of many thrillers usually consists of adults. This is because it might include a lot of violence and some psychological issues that can be disturbing for younger audiences - especially in psychological thrillers - as well as some thrillers are more intellectually demanding. • I’d like my audience to be on the edge of their seats when watching it the whole time and keep them involved and make sure they don't drift of. • Rating= 15
  11. 11. SHOTS Main Shots: • Match on action • Shot/ reverse shot • 180 Degree rule Other shots: • Over the shoulder shot • Extreme long shot • Long shot • Mid shot • Pan • Tracking shot • Close up
  12. 12. REPRESENTATIVE The message I want to get across is that nobody should get involved it gambling, drugs and mafia for their own safety and the ones they love.
  13. 13. PRODUCERS • Lionsgate • New line cinema • Paramount
  14. 14. THE END
