Most of us who have worked for
several years (or now counted in
decades) understand the
hesitation of young people
entering the workforce. There’s a
lot of pressure brought about by
the media, society, peers and
parents. It can be confusing and
stressful. The reality is that life
happens. We all worry too much
about tomorrow, next week, next
year. Life needs to be enjoyed in
the moment and joy found in daily
events….if only I too could practice
this preach!
Employers are looking for great
graduates. Graduates are looking
for great employers and work
experience. Merge these two
needs into an integrated work and
study curriculum that allows the
student to work in their desired
field for 2 days a week and study
in the field for 3 days. Student
commits to employers to first right
of acceptance at the end of the
course so the employer retains
value invested in developing the
employee/student.
Tap into the creativity and talent
of students from a diverse range of
perspective and talent and get
them to solve business problems
together with teams from the
organisation.
Focus on the development of
practical solutions that help the
company and fits with the
curriculum. Engage the course
academics to assist alignment with
course outcomes.
