2. PROBLEM
Currently, there are plenty of all-
encompassing sports media websites
out there.
However, there’s over 150
professional sports franchises, and
even more college programs
Sports media platforms can become
over-saturated with content and make
it difficult for fans to be as involved as
they want with their favorite teams.

3. SOLUTION
My website, Broad Street Media, aims to
serve as a one-stop shop for all things
Philadelphia professional sports.
The site features several different pages, all
of which serve a different purpose.
The pages include:
• Home
• Discuss
• 4 team celebratory pages
• Subscribe
• Contact US

4. Home Page
The home page features all of the
blog posts, which cover news,
scores, highlights, etc. from the
Eagles, Sixers, Phillies, and Flyers.
There is a Welcome blog post
pinned to the top of the page for
new users.
The blog posts feature images, a
share feature, a comment section,
and offer users suggested posts.
The posts are organized into
categories, which can be accessed
from the sidebar.
5. Discussion Page
The Discuss page allows fans to
come together and talk about
whatever they may want to
regarding Philly sports.
It features forum posts, with
a variety of topics where users can
engage in conversation with
one another.
6. Team Pages
There are four team pages for each
of the city’s professional teams: the
Eagles, Sixers, Phillies, and Flyers.
Each page is a little different, but
they all commemorate the latest
championship season for each
team.
The Eagles page tells the story of
the 2017 season.
The Sixers page focuses on the 1983
team.
The Phillies page covers the 2008
World Series.
The Flyers page features the Broad
Street Bullies documentary, all
about the ’70s teams.
7. Subscribe Page
The Subscribe page features a
form that allows users to
enter their information in
order to sign-up for a weekly
newsletter that will be
delivered to their e-mail inbox.
8. Other Deliverables
The site features a menu along the
top with each page, as well as a
search bar.
There is another search bar atop
the right-hand sidebar.
Below the search bar is links to
Broad Street Media’s social media
pages.
Next on the sidebar is a list of
recent blog posts, all of which are
linked.
The sidebar also features an
embedded tweet video.
Lastly, there is a button that links to
the subscribe page.
9. ISSUES DURING DEVELOPMENT
I had to decide where to put the
posts, and whether or not to
make it separate from the home
page. I initially had trouble
separating the two pages, and
ultimately ended up keeping
them as one.

BLOG POSTS
Organization of the team posts
was a little difficult, I had to
ensure that all of the text and
images were formatted correctly
and in-line with the rest of the
page.
