1. Teachingphilosophies
Teachingisone of the mostimportantthingsinthe world.Teachersbuildthe knowledgeand
the life andpractical skillsfornewgenerationsthose are goingtobuildthe future.Teaching
and learningare the mostimportantthingthatpeople needtoconcernfortheirkids.Asa
studentteacherIhave many philosophiesthatIbelievethatwill leadmyprimarystudentsto
be better.
1. Learningand successful learningsituation
Learningisgettingnewthings thatmake the life betterandeasier. Learninghappens
everywhere andeverytime. The real learningisthe one thatstaysinlearners’mindswhich
thenbuildingonotherthings,andIdo not meanthe learningthatstudentsgotandthen
forgetaftera periodof time (Smith,2003). Because itisnot an effectiveanduseful learning
whenitis justrecognizedforaspecifictime anditthengone.Whereas,the effective
learningisthe thingsthatstudentscanrememberanduse intheirlife,dependonthemto
construct newknowledge andthenuse theminfuture forjobandto have an effective
personwhowill benefitandmove hissocietytothe best. Learningalsocouldbe definedasa
behavioral change (Smith,2003), andsurely, itshouldbe a positive change inkids.
Therefore,whenstudentslearnnewthingsthroughgettingnew knowledge and new
experiences, itwill reflectontheirperformance tobe betterintime andforfuture. To getan
effectiveandsuccessful learning, there are manysituationsneedtobe considered. The first
thingis, beingawayfromthe traditional teachingways. The otherthings are, keeping
studentsinvolvedinactivities likedoingstudents-centeredclasses.Thisgivesstudentsarole
to teacheach otherand to expresstheirlearning forpeers, ashappenedinmygrade three
class, where studentswere excitedtotalkinEnglishandto discussthings while workingwith
materialsanduse vocabularywords.Whenall learningstyles are considered, the higher
learningandlevelswill be got. Inadditiontouse differentlearningmethodslike:peers,
groups,enquiry- learningandchangingroutines(Heick,2015). Whenstudents feel they are
excellentandalwaysready,the successful learninghasbeenachieved.
2. Goalsfor my youngchildren
My maingoal for studentsistobe successful.Beingsuccessful asastudentisto be confident
inany time to answeranyquestion. Therefore,Iwantmy students tofeel thattheyare
excellentwhatevertheirabilitiesare.Thisfeelingwill make studentsfeelcomfortable
towardlearningwhichisveryimportantforevery single student.Inthislastteaching
practice I had a special needsstudent whoisolderthanherpeers.WhenIsat withher
separatelytosolve aworksheet,Inoticedthatshe knew manythingsandshe became very
happywhenshe noticedthatshe didmanyquestionsinthe worksheet.Thenshe turned
witha bigsmile saying(miss,probablyIwill passthisyearbecause Ididthisandthis
correctly).Whenshe feelsthatshe hasthe abilitytodo something, she feelsmore confident
2. that she will be able todo more. Thenduringmymovementinthe classroom, Itriedto
scaffoldhersothat she couldmove on withothers. Self-confidence playsabigrole in
learning, withthe level onconfidence the studentfeels, the academicachievementwill be
shown(Briggs,2014). This iswhat I saw withthisspecial needsstudent,becausewhenshe
feelsthatshe didsomething, she feelsconfidenttotry to domore insteadof justsittingand
watchingstudents. AlsoIwantmystudentstobe notlearningjusttodo the test, but try to
learnto be good communicatorsandhave excellentskills (StephenLazar,2010). I alwaystry
to not letstudentslearnandthenforgetwhattheylearn.SoI workinmany waysthat
attract studentsforthe lessoninthe time thatit helpsthemtobe improvedinlearning. One
of mywayswas to repeatone of the activitiesthatlinks(vocabularywords, prepositionsand
grammar rule) inone interestinggame thatall studentswanttoparticipate andplay. Which
workedwell ingainingmore understandingof the unitlessons, andthe MST useditin her
otherclasses.
3. My beliefs
I believethatall studentsare able tolearnsomething.Eachstudenthasa creative side inhis
personalityandaskill heshe cando. If a studentfeelscomfortable towardthe teacherand
the teachergiveshimopportunitiestodothings,hishercreativitywill appear.Tobe an
effectiveteacher,Ihave toconcernabout mystudents’personalitiesandabilitiestoteach
themeffectively.
I believethatasmuch as I teach,as much I will be betterteacher.Dependingonthe saying
that says“you do notknowhow muchyou have learneduntil youstartteaching”(A Balance
betweenCompetition&Cooperation,2003),I agree that whenthe teacherstart teaching
she will be see howmuchshe isqualified. Subsequently,Isee thatwhenshe startteaching
and see howisher level, duringteachingshe will be able todevelopherstrategiesindealing
withstudents,improvingsome teachingskills,changingorcancellingsome teaching
methods,startthinkingof othereffectivewaysof delivering,awardingorpunishing.
Therefore asmuchexperience asteachershave, asmuchtheywill be able toteach, and
seekingahelpordiscussingsome pointswithotherteacherwill leadtobetterteachingas
well.Mylastteachingpractice was the mosteffective one because of that. Iimprovedalot
of teachingwayswithMST and MCT help.Iimprovedthe time management, where teachers
toldme that I needto focuson it,so forotherlessonsIusedtimerandplannedaccurately
for the time, anda lessonbylessonthe time managementbecame better.Ialsoimprove my
reactionsformisbehaviorfromthe MCT feedbackanditbecame effectiveaftermany
periods.
Conclusion
All whatI wantis to have reliable studentsandstudentswhobelieveontheirabilitiesto
have bigrolesinfuture.If teachersdidwhattheyshoulddofor students,theywillleadthe
3. country to be developedthroughnew generation.Iamtryingto do all mybestfor my
studentstobe highlyperformedstudentsforlifeandpractical activities.
