Welding inspector of work carried out at North Parkes Mine underground expansion project, &
the qualifying of weld procedures & welders to MMAW & FCAW (WPQR & WPS) to AS/NZS
1554.1 SP AS3992 & ASME IX.
Numerous Power Station outages inspection of all areas of boilers, deaerators, Flash Vessels,
turbine components & pressure piping, at Liddell, Bayswater, Eraring, Vales Point,
Wallerawang, Mt Piper, (NSW) Yallourn W (VIC) Port Augusta (SA) with tactile inspection of all
areas of boiler followed up with UTT suppling the raw data for inspection reports.
Have assisted with radiography, MPI (Fluorescent) & DPI from pressure piping with creep
cracking to turbine components.
Have been involved in the qualification of welders & weld procedures for numerous companies
with procedures qualifying to AS/NZS 1554.1 SP, AS 3992:1998 & ASME IX with GTAW, GMAW,
FCAW & MMAW processes.
Have completed Delta Electricity Wallerawang Unit 8 pressure equipment inspection for major
outage for compliance & re-registration a total of 32 vessels with hazard levels B ranging from
HP heaters, LP heaters, Deaerator to air receivers.
Superintentent role with Transfield Worley Parsons major air heater refurbishment at Vales
Point power station assist with welder qualification, planning and quality control.
Nightshift Supervisor of boilermakers and welders on major outage at Woodside LNG train 2,
involved with gas turbines, estimated 2000 personnel required for complete outage.
Witnessed numerous hydrostatic tests to AS1210-AS4037 and ASME.
3rd party inspection of repairs to imported scrubber LNG vessels for Origin Energy, witnessed
and signed off ITP hold points, manufacture, welding, hydrostatic test and protective coating.
Conducted numerous commissioning and 1st yearly inspections for QGC LNG upstream
projects from field well head vessels, field compressor plants (FCS), central process plants
(CPP), in line with the requirements of AS/NZS 3788.
Involved in welder qualification to AS3992, AS1554.1SP & AS 1554.6 materials SAF 2205 to
carbon steel also involed in WPQR and WPS proceedures.
Ongoing inspections external and internal of power plants from 770 Megawat to 3500 kilowat
package gas boilers in line with the requirements of AS/NZS 3788.
