Professional Synopsis: Inspection Engineer
• Carried out inspections for cradles & earth moving equipments like Forklift,
Backhoe loader, Excavator, Telehandler, Skid steer, Dozer, Skips & wheel
Loader as per British standards.
• Inspection of lifting gears.
• To carry out duties accordance with procedures & work instructions.
• Testing activities and maintenance of measuring equipment’s.

3. Achievements in container terminal:
 Modification of rope construction: Antisway ropes are 35X7
construction. Replaced by 18X7. Increased the rope life. Cost saving.
 Modification over rope end fittings: Original rope end fitting was
simple dog clamp type. This causes rope slippage if not tighten
properly. Accidents occurred few times due to rope slippage. So
replaced the thimble and clamps by swedge and cotter joint and made
it. Fool proof.
 Brake shoe alteration: Original HILMAR brake liner was ferredo
(asbestos). Replaced by sintered copper (BUBENZER).
Standardization and Pollution free.
 Elevators guide rollers modification: Original elevator guide rollers
were metal rollers resulting in vibration and noisy operation. Replaced
them by Teflon rollers. Noiseless, vibrationless operation.
Job Responsibilities in container terminal:
 Reporting to Supervisor, planning of scheduling jobs on preventive
maintenance for container handling cranes.
 Planning spares for the planned jobs.
 Reporting the top management with actual, equipment performance
report.
 Scheduled Maintenance, Break Down Maintenance & Preventive
Maintenance.
 Troubles shooting.
Equipments for container handling:
 Rail Mounted Quay crane (RMQC) - NOELL, KHIC, and ZPMC.
 Rubber tyre mounted Gantry crane - (RTGC) NOELL & GPC
 Top Lift Truck (Reach stackers) - KALMAR & INDITAL
 Empty Container Handling (ECH) – LINDE

E.O.T mobile crane.

Hoist, Boom and Trolley.
 Gear Box: Worm gear, Speed reducer (Helical spur gear) Rack &
pinion, Bevel gear.
 Fabrication of mechanical structure, planning by Computer Aided
Maintenance Management system (main Pac) & managing of
resources, inventory control by using JIT (just in time) & Man Power
utility.
