2. WHAT IS A LAN?
It is a type of computer
network which interconnects
lots of different computer
devices.
They are usually in the same
building.
They are private networks.

3. NETWORK CARD
- It is an electronic device that connects
a computer to a computer network.
- It is considered a piece of computer
hardware.
- Each network node or station has
to have special communications card
specific to the type of Ethernet that is
being set up.

4. SWITCHES
- These are active network
elements.
- They have a series of RJ45
ports used to connect to the
network nodes.

5. ROUTERS
They are small physical devices that join
multiple networks together.

6. PROTOCOL TCP/IP
Thanks to this protocol, we ensure reliable transfer of
information.
It consists on:
- Correctly locate any computer.
- Understand all the messages.
- Type of comunication.
- Type of operating system.
- Allow secure information Exchange.
- Finish the correction.

7. TCP/IP
TCP provides reliable transfer of information transmitted across
the network.
IP transfers information to the destination computer.

8. IP ADRESS
Its function is to identificate a
computer connected to the
Internet to be posible to locate it
quickly and accurately.
