1. Mark Stabler, Chief Executive Officer
Mark Stabler is the CEO and VP International Business Development for EDU365
Group Ltd. He has overall responsibility for the vision and strategy of the group
and its international subsidiaries encompassing all operations in Caribbean, South
America and Africa.
Originally from Wales, Mr. Stabler, a qualified teacher, began his career in schools
as a technology educator in the UK and went on to teach in Australia and the
Caribbean before forming IT Outsource Ltd in the Cayman Islands in 2004.
Supporting both the education and financial services verticals he built the
business to a multi-million dollar turn-over ahead of architecting its sale via a
successful management buy-out in 2013.
In 2008 he formed EDU365, migrating education clients from IT Outsource, and
established it as a solutions provider entirely dedicated to education. That year
he successfully led the Caribbean’s first national implementation of SIMS (school
information management system) in the Cayman Islands whilst simultaneously
achieving exclusive regional partner status with Capita ES – a unique distinction which the company still retains
today.
Mark went on the successfully establish important alliances for EDU365 with key partners including Microsoft
Education, LearnPad, Capita ONE, Xirrus HP, Asus & Toshiba creating a unique and award-winning collection of
integrated education solutions for EDU365 schools.
Mark’s greatest strengths are his enthusiastic drive and passion for school improvement. He thrives on challenges
and, because of his background, has a rare, in-depth understanding of the issues schools, and their management
teams, face, particularly in relation to school improvement through the use of technology.
Equally at ease as the ‘grass-roots’ level, dealing one-to-one with individual teachers and school administrators as
well as private school boards and government ministries, Mark has led the initiatives that have helped drive school
improvement in numerous countries worldwide. In 2014 as a result of a Microsoft Office365 based project led by
Mark, an EDU365 school became the first in the English-speaking Caribbean to be awarded status as a Microsoft
Showcase school – one of less than 150 worldwide.
Mark has sat on many education consultancy and advisory panels, working with private schools and governments
ministries throughout the Caribbean and has attended and spoken at a number of international conferences
including FETC & iSTE (USA), UKTI (Trinidad), BETT (UK) and the Commonwealth Ministers Conference (Mauritius).
He has numerous articles published on educational improvement including NEX Generation in the Caribbean and
Education South Africa.
Mark is a keen rugby fan and former internationally capped player. He lives in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands with
his wife and three daughters.
