Lauri Fitz-Pegado engages in a wide variety of

National Education Association Foundation, where she
was chairman of the board and now works on the
Global Competency Task Force.

equip educators with the tools they need to benefit the
classroom. NEA Foundation achieves that goal through
a number of initiatives, such as awarding grants to
educators and designing and implementing innovative
