Electrician – Kidston Solar Project (Phase One)
 My duties in this role have included installation of HV cable pulls, installation of
240mm cable pulls, all associated pit and conduit works (soft and hard tape),
running of DC strings cable, running of DC array harnesses, connecting solar
panels and arrays to specification, Q & A of invertors prior to installation,
installation, termination and testing of combination boxes, installation,
termination, testing of invertor cables/earthing, installation, termination of next
tracker and weather stations, point-to-point testing, duct testing, IR testing,
CCTV installation and installation of fibre optic cables.

Various sub-contracting assignments
 During this time I have undertaken various electrical roles, including working on
cranes and fitout work. The purpose of doing this was to allow me to gain
experience in a variety of different areas in the electrical industry.

Tendered Repairs Electrician – Schindler Lifts
 I worked as part of the Sundries Department. Duties consisted of carrying out
chargeable repairs vertical transportation systems, escalators and walks.

Senior Service Mechanic – Otis Elevators
 Duties consisted of termination and installation of: service of VIP department;
experienced in repair, modernisation and service; Experienced in resolves 20’s,
40’s, 100’s (magnetic drive DC), TMS 600 and 9000, Monospace, EPL and
Hydraulic; Elevonic 401, 411, 413, 320, 420 and various foreign equipment;
extensive knowledge of escalators and walkways; extra low voltage: 12 volt, 32
volt, 100 volt DC wiring and equipment; low voltage 240 VAC and 415 VAC;
installing and wiring main switchboards, utilising thermoplastic insulated and
sheathed flat cables; lift motors (AC and DC) and control encoders utilising
armoured and special cabling; earthing all equipment and metallic supports;
continuity of earthing system in equipment, troughing and metallic conduits;
installing lift shaft equipment, ducting, cable trays and troughing; screwing
metallic conduits and fittings and flexible conduits.
July 2006 – January 2007
Lane Cove Tunnel Project – United Group
 Duties consisted of termination and installation of: Run mains supply cables;
sub-circuits; data and control wiring; and installation of all cable trays and tunnel
lighting.

 Contract involving commercial fitout installations in Sydney CBD;
 In a commercial setting, installation of power sub-circuits, installation of
powered submains, installation of lighting sub-circuits;

 Maintenance of cranes and equipment;
 Breakdowns, fault finding on Bradley Allen/ PLCs and VSDs, motors and
associated equipment;
 Tagging and testing of appliances and electrical tools; and
 Shutdowns, removal of production equipment, testing and reinstallation of new
equipment.

Electrician (Modernisation Department) – Kone Elevators
 Duties consisted of termination and installation of: Installation and leading hand;
installation of low and medium rise lift systems; resole 100’s/resolve
10’s/resolve 20’s and resolve MX machines; and tendered repair work.

emergency, fixtures and fittings; power sub-circuits and data cables.

M5 Tunnel Project – Heyday Group
 Duties consisted of: termination and installation of: lighting circuits, general,
emergency, fixtures and fittings, power, sub-mains, sub-circuits, and control,
jet-fan in 240v/415v.
 Also the installation of cable trays, cable and switchboards.
June 2001 – August 2001

 Duties consisted of termination and installation of: lighting circuits, general,
emergency, fixtures and fittings, and control and power circuits.
January 1999 – December 2000

 Duties consisted of termination and installation of: lighting circuits, general,
emergency, fixtures and fittings, power sub-circuits, and data cables.
December 1997 – December 1998
 I spent a year travelling around Australia. During this time, I completed two
contract jobs for Rotric Pty Ltd and ElectData.
