The world as something that can be
- measured
- classified
- organized
in a systematic manner, according to the scientific
method

9. The world can be studied at all different scales (sizes):
- From “World regional geography”
- Down to the level of a neighborhood or a stream

10. Three main emphasis areas:
- Physical
- Techniques
- Human (“Sustainable development”)

11. vs. “real geography” 

12. What binds us all together as geographers?
- How all these different parts fit together
- Love of maps, what can be mapped
- Tend to have fun
