This document appears to be a liturgy for a Catholic mass or prayer service. It includes opening prayers, hymns, scripture readings, and closing prayers. The key points are that it focuses on the Transfiguration of Jesus, when his face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as snow. It includes prayers asking God to help the congregation see his glory and presence, and to bring hope to those suffering depression or distress. The liturgy closes with prayers asking various saints to pray for the people and making the sign of the cross.
A Costly Interruption: The Sermon On the Mount, pt. 2 - Blessed
Morning praise august 6, 2020
1. LEADER: O God, come to our assistance,
ALL: O Lord, make haste to help us. (+SIGN OF THE
CROSS),
LEADER: Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to
the Holy Spirit.
ALL: As it was in the beginning,is now and ever shall

(Opening Prayer)
(Hymn)
Leader: Today Jesus Christ wastransfigured: hisface
shone like the sun and his clothesbecame as white as
snow.
B: O God, you are my God, I watch for you from the
dawn. My soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you.
I came to your sanctuary, as one in a parched and
waterless land, so that I could see your might and your
glory. My lips will praise you, for your mercy is better
than life itself
G: Thus I will bless you throughout my life, and raise
my hands in prayer to your name; my soul will be filled
as if by rich food, and my mouth will sing your praises
and rejoice. I will remember you as I lie in bed, I will
think of you in the morning, for you have been my
helper, and I will take joy in the protection of your
wings.
All: My soul clings to you: your right hand raises me
up.
LEADER: Glory be…
ALL: As it was…
All: Today JesusChrist wastransfigured:his face
shone like the sun and his clothesbecame as white as
snow.

Prayers and intercessions
Let us pray to Christ, for he is with God the Father, and
all power is given to him, in heaven and on earth.
– Lord, that we may see.
Help us to work well today:
transfigure our hearts with your presence.
– Lord, that we may see.
We do not always feel the joy and power of your
presence:when we are weak and tired help us to look
forward to the glory that is to come.
– Lord, that we may see.
Remember all who live in depression and distress: bring
to them new vision, and the hope of the gospel.
– Lord, that we may see.
We praise you, Lord, and thank you for the greatness of
your glory: be with us as we set out to build up your
new creation.
– Lord, that we may see.
-The Lord’s Prayer-
All: Father, at the Transfiguration in glory of your
Only-Begotten Son, you confirmed the mysteries of
faith by the witness to Jesus of the prophets Moses and
Elijah. You foreshadowed there what we shall be when
you bring our sonship to its perfection. Grant that by
listening to the voice of Jesus we may become heirs
with him, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of
the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
Leader: May the Lord bless us, and keep us from all
evil, and bring us to everlasting life.
All: Amen.
L: May the darkness of sin and night of unbelief vanish
before the light of the Word and the spirit of grace,
A: and may the heart of Jesus live in the hearts of all.
Amen.
