Collect for Purity
bcp 355
Blessed be God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
And blessed be his kingdom,
now and forever. Amen.
Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires
known, and from you no secrets are hid: Cleanse
the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your
Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and
worthily magnify your holy Name; through Christ
our Lord.
Amen.
Crown Him With Many Crowns
hymn 494
1.
Crown him with many crowns,
the Lamb upon his throne;
Hark! how the heavenly anthem drowns
all music but its own;
awake, my soul, and sing of him
who died for thee,
and hail him as thy matchless King
through all eternity.
2.
Crown him the Son of God
before the worlds began,
and ye, who tread where he hath trod,
crown him the Son of man;
who every grief hath known
that wrings the human breast,
and takes and bears them for his own,
that all in him may rest.
4.
Crown him of lords, the Lord,
who over all doth reign,
who once on earth, the incarnate Word,
for ransomed sinners slain,
now lives in realms of light,
where saints with angels sing
their songs before him day and night,
their God, Redeemer, King.
5.
Crown him the Lord of heaven,
enthroned in worlds above;
crown him the King, to whom is given,
the wondrous name of Love.
Crown him with many crowns,
as thrones before him fall,
crown him, ye kings, with many crowns,
for he is King of all.
Collect of the Day
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Let us pray.
Almighty and everlasting God, whose will it is to
restore all things in your well-beloved Son, the King
of kings and Lord of lords: Mercifully grant that the
peoples of the earth, divided and enslaved by sin,
may be freed and brought together under his most
gracious rule; who lives and reigns with you and the
Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
Welcome
Birthday Prayer
said together
Watch over your children, O Lord, as their days
increase; bless and guide them wherever they may
be. Strengthen them when they stand; comfort
them when discouraged or sorrowful; raise them up
if they fall; and in their hearts may your peace
which passes understanding abide all the days of
their lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Wedding Anniversary Prayer
said together
O gracious and everliving God, you have created us
male and female in your image; Look mercifully
upon this man and this woman who come to you
seeking your blessing, and assist them with your
grace, that with true fidelity and steadfast love
they may honor and keep the promises and vows
they have made; through Jesus Christ our Savior.
Amen.
2.
Call to Worship

2 Let us come before his presence with
thanksgiving *
and raise a loud shout to him with psalms.
3 For the Lord is a great God, *
and a great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the caverns of the earth, *
and the heights of the hills are his also.
5 The sea is his, for he made it, *
and his hands have molded the dry land.
6 Come, let us bow down, and bend the knee, *
and kneel before the Lord our Maker.
7 For he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture
and the sheep of his hand.

Blest Be The Tie That Binds
1.
Blest be the tie that binds
our hearts in Christian love:
the fellowship of kindred minds
is like to that above.
2.
When we are called to part,
it gives us inward pain,
but we shall still be joined in heart,
and hope to meet again.
3.
From sorrow, toil, and pain,
and sin we shall be free,
and perfect love and friendship reign
through all eternity.
Holy Gospel Matthew 25:31-46

Sermon
Nicene Creed
bcp 358
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified
under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son
he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one, holy, catholic
and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism
for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Prayers of the People
form IV, bcp 388
The response following each petition is:
Lord, in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
The Celebrant adds the concluding collect.
Jesus, Lord of the Church, you have redeemed us
into the family of God, who now calls us, “His
children”. May our love for our brothers and sisters
be strengthened by your grace.
In your name we pray,
Amen.
Confession
We pray to you also for the forgiveness of our sins.
Silence may be kept.
Have mercy upon us, most merciful Father;
in your compassion forgive us our sins,
known and unknown,
things done and left undone;
and so uphold us by your Spirit
that we may live and serve you
in newness of life,
to the honor and glory of your Name;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Almighty God have mercy on you, forgive you all
your sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen
you in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy
Spirit keep you in eternal life.
Amen.
Peace
The peace of the Lord be always with you.
And also with you.
Then all may greet one another in the name of the Lord.
H O L Y C O M M U N I O N
Walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself
for us, an offering and sacrifice to God.
Before The Lord's Eternal Throne
hymn 391
1.
Before the Lord's eternal throne,
ye nations, bow with sacred joy;
know that the Lord is God alone,
he can create, and he destroy.
2.
His sovereign power without our aid
formed us of clay and gave us breath;
and when like wandering sheep we strayed,
he saved us from the power of death.
3.
We are his people, we his care,
our souls, and all our mortal frame:
what lasting honors shall we rear,
almighty Maker, to thy Name?
4.
We'll crowd thy gates with thankful songs,
high as the heavens our voices raise;
and earth, with her ten thousand tongues,
shall fill thy courts with sounding praise.
5.
Wide as the world is thy command,
vast as eternity thy love;
firm as a rock thy truth must stand
when rolling years shall cease to move.
Great Thanksgiving
bcp 361
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give him thanks and praise.
The Celebrant prays, prompting the Sanctus to be sung:
Sanctus
S-130
Eucharistic Prayer A bcp 362
The Celebrant prays, prompting the following response:
Therefore we proclaim the mystery of faith:
Christ has died.
Christ is risen.
Christ will come again.
The Celebrant continues, concluding with:
All this we ask through your Son Jesus Christ. By
him, and with him, and in him, in the unity of the
Holy Spirit all honor and glory is yours, Almighty
Father, now and for ever.
AMEN.
4.
The Lord’s Prayer
bcp 364
And now, as our Savior Christ has taught us,
we are bold to say,
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

Lead On, O King Eternal
hymn 555
1
.
Lead on, O King eternal,
the day of march has come;
henceforth in fields of conquest
thy tents shall be our home:
through days of preparation
thy grace has made us strong,
and now, O King eternal,
we lift our battle song.
2.
Lead on, O King eternal,
till sin's fierce war shall cease,
and holiness shall whisper
the sweet amen of peace;
for not with swords loud clashing,
nor roll of stirring drums,
but deeds of love and mercy,
the heavenly kingdom comes.
3.
Lead on, O King eternal:
we follow, not with fears;
for gladness breaks like morning
where'er thy face appears.
Thy cross is lifted o'er us;
we journey in its light:
the crown awaits the conquest;
lead on, O God of might!
Dismissal
Alleluia, Alleluia! Let us go forth into the world,
rejoicing in the power of the Spirit.
Thanks be to God. Alleluia, Alleluia!
