DOH CHD-10 NORTHERN MINDANAO:
KAMUSTA KA HOTLINE
From March 25 up to December 3, 2020, our Mental Health and Psychosocial
Services- DOH NorMin Kamusta Ka Hotline has facilitated 11,988 clients via text, call
and FB Page messenger. This 24/7 Hotline has been very helpful especially during the
first 2 months at the onset of the pandemic wherein stringent lockdowns were
implemented. Through this hotline, quarantined residents connected to authorities and
counselors to talk and refer their varying COVID and non-COVID concerns. Of the
11,988 callers/textes/messagers, there were 11, 908 under Category I concerning
Basic Services and Security concerns including health services; 243 under Level II
Category concerning Community and Family Support concerns; 75 under Level III
concerning needs for Focused non-specialized supports, referral to Treatment
Rehabilitation Center for counseling; and 9 which was referred to the specialized
services under Category IV, like psychiatric management.

• For the Medical Services, the
Health Referral team has
facilitated 30,134 calls and
has referred 4,479 individuals
to appropriate health facilities
starting March 15, 2020 up to
the present. Likewise, the
Medical Services Field
Surveillance has conducted
contact tracing among 19,
699 individuals from March
2020 up until now.
