Flagship Logistics Group Deploys Industry’s First New Generation of TMS in a
Decade From 3GTMSin New Customer Care Center Designed For Veterans
Indianapolis, IN - - (December 5, 2013) - Flagship Logistics Group, a wholly owned
subsidiary of Flagship Food Group, is building significant momentum moving into 2014,
pushing hard on two fronts:the company is hiring veterans for its new customer care
center, which has been purpose-built to exceed ADA standards. Additionally, Flagship
Logistics Group is currently deploying the industry’s first new generation of TMS
(transportation management system) in a decade from 3GTMS. The formal launch date
for the customer care center’s opening is slated for January 15, 2014, with a highly
anticipated all-star attendee list expected.
Flagship Logistics Group’s Indianapolis customer care center will support inbound and
outbound calls for marketing campaign response management; customer and carrier
recruitment; trade show appointment setting; blended customer service calling to
support the onboarding of new clients and client retention, collections, as well as
workload management leveraging a number of different contact mediums (mail, phone,
internet, live chat, community building).
The customer care center, housed in a 100-plus year old building and listed on the
National Register of Historical Places in Indianapolis, is just north of the downtown area
directly across from University Park, the Indiana War Memorial Plaza, the Veteran’s
Memorial Plaza, and the American Legion Mall. There are no stairs, no ramps, and no
elevators in this facility for veterans to have to navigate. Aisles in the call center have
been built to accommodate hospital beds, if necessary, and covered parking is
provided.
“When we see more of our peers investing efforts into employment opportunities forour
returning veterans and building facilities that can accommodate our veterans –
regardless of their physical state –then we will have succeeded as advocates for
change,” said Flagship Logistics Group CEO Bob Moran, “And deploying the industry’s
new generation of TMS technology, designed by logistics experts under the leadership
of Mitch Weseley, the man widely regarded as the “father of TMS”, will enable us to
garner significant new traction in 2014 and propel us well beyond that.”Flagship
Logistics Group is a member of 3GTMS’ Customer Innovation Partner Program, helping
2. to drive the development of 3GTM, and is working closely with the 3GTMS team during
the implementation as the commercial launch is being rolled out.
The company is working closely with Wounded Warrior Project to recruit and place
veterans, expecting to hire a total of 40 veterans between now and the end of 2014 for
the contact center, in support of its longer-term strategy to hire veterans. In total,
Flagship Logistics Group has committed a minimum of $100,000 to Wounded Warrior
Project heroes and expects to continue to grow this contribution over time.
