 Motivation may be defined as “an internal state that arouses learners, steers
them in a particular direction and keeps them engaged with certain
activities (Lei, 2010, p 153)
 If a student is motivated to learn, the student will develop the soft skills
he / she needs to achieve his/her goals namely:
 Attitude
 Listening
 Empathy
 Relationship
 Tact
(Cabuhat, 2013, How Much Do You Know Motivation, Hard Skills
versus Soft Skills)
 A critical thinking or application of skills type of question will be given and
posted at eduos.net – Bryman College Students - Medical Assisting –
Discussion Forum at the end of each Unit.
 Susan and the students can use the lecture slides which can be accessed in
SlideShare as a guide in answering the exercise.
 Susan and other students can share ideas and make comments on answers
given by other students using eduos.net.
 An additional credit points will be added to their Unit Grade for relevant
responses and comments.
