Antonio Mingote was a Spanish artist born in 1919 in Sitges, Barcelona who worked as an actor, writer, musician, and painter. He is renowned for his humorous drawings of everyday Spanish life called Mingote's Panels, as well as writing many books and contributing artwork to the ABC newspaper from 1953 until his death in 2012. Mingote fought in the Spanish Civil War at age 17 and created chronicles of places through his drawings that captured people across Spain.
