Slovaks and Poles share many similarities as both are descendants of Western Slavic people, have majority Christian populations, and are members of the European Union. However, they also have some differences such as Slovakia using the euro while Poland uses the zloty, Slovaks generally preferring outdoor activities while Poles like staying home, and differences in legal drinking ages and safety standards for drivers. Both countries are also connected through their shared border and the Tatra mountains.
