Gilard Electronics is an electronic component manufacturer for the automobile industry. A 59 year old brand, Gilard is the premier name in switches, connectors and resistors. Gilard also specialises in designing, developing and mass producing products as per client's specific needs. Gilard is listed as one of the "Top 30 Best Places to Work in India in Manufacturing in 2020" by the GPTW institute. Gilard started the printing of its quarterly newsletter in January 2014. New Awards / Certificates
Dear Gilardians,
We have bid goodbye to 2019. It has been an
eventful year for us.The overall Indian Industry
had a bad year in terms of Manufacturing
output. We are also part of it and we also had
setbacks in our production levels. However
because of our good controls we did not have
to retrench or dismiss any of our employees,
unlike many other manufacturing Companies.
In the last month of 2019 the Industry seems
to look up again and we hope that we shall
end with a better 4th Quarter (January 2020 to
March 2020). In December, we also added
some feathers in our cap. We got certified as a
Great Place to work. This was made possible
because of all of you, who have imbibed the
Ownership concept and have made Gilard a
“Great Place to Work”.
We also were recognised as an excellent
MSME manufacturing Company in the
Automotive field by the Punjab Government
and given a certification and a cash award of
Rs.1,00,000/- by Capt. Amrinder Singh our
Chief Minister.

2. It has been one year since plastic water bottles have been discontinued and replaced with glass bottles
in Gilard. Each small step takes us closer to recreating a natural environment on planet Earth.
Our new CSR initiative launched on 2nd October 2019, focused on sensitisation of the immediate society
on discontinuing single use plastic. The message of “Swachh Bharat” & “Say No to Single Use Plastic”
was highlighted to the general public on various platforms by Gilard’s very own ‘Gandhi Ji’. The part of
the Mahatma was played by our in-house actor Ashish Mohan from Marketing who interacted with the
audience. The girls from our production shops joined in with Gidha (Punjabi Folk dance) performances
on the same topic which pulled in large crowds who were inspired to contribute towards environment
protection.

A Health Camp, courtesy Indus Hospital,
Mohali, was organised for Gilardians in
November 2019. It covered various health
related issues. Dr. Kshitij Charaya's talk on
common symptoms and precautions related to
ENT issues and Dr. Bhawna Aggarwal’s talk
on “Menstrual Irregularities” for female
Gilardians were much appreciated. The above
two doctors with Dr. Jyoti Sharma and
Dr. Shikha Bansal attended to individual health
ailments of Gilardians as well.

Tea with Chairman
Gilard is a combination of work and happiness.
To celebrate “International Day of Persons
With Disabilities”, our differently-abled
Gilardians have a special privilege to interact
with our Chairman, Mr. H.S. Sethi over tea &
snacks every year in December. Balancing
Cotton Balls, Dumb Charades and Statues
were some of the fun activities arranged by
Team HRD to make the event more cheerful.
We believe that disability is a matter of
perception as differently-abled persons are
equally productive as other Gilardians.
Annual Safety Day Celebrations
Gilard's Management takes onus of creating
and ensuring a safe work environment in the
Organisation. Health and safety of Gilardians
is always on our top priority and continuous
efforts are made to spread awareness of
safety requirements. In December we had our
annual “Safety Day” celebration in which each
Gilardian participated in the Safety Quiz on
Safety at Work & Road Safety. Gifts,
chocolates & sweets were enjoyed by the
participants. We believe that employees who
are aware of their safety at work also tend to
be more satisfied, confident and productive.
