3. SPORTS: PROSPECTIVE HUMAN CAPITAL
DEVELOPMET INITIATIVES
Training of the Trainers:
1. Enhancing the existing skills of the coaches and physical education teachers who are
imparting trainings to the children; specific disciplines where medal prospects are high; setting
aside funds every year and sending them for trainings within and abroad financial requirement
for training in over 10 to 15 specific disciplines: about 5 Crores would be required over a
course of 3- 5years ( approx. $550,000) for this.
2. Diet/Refreshment for children who comes for practices every morning: @ 25 per head for
approx. 2500 to 3000 children for 250 days in a year: Rs.1.8 crs. Per year : 9 Crs. For 5 years
3. Setting up of Human Performance Scientific Laboratory equipped with latest Gym facilities !!
Whatever sportsperson has achieved today has been through sweats and tears and all
through wear and tear methods with no scientific inputs whatsoever.
We have enough man power to run these laboratory; Sports Physicians - Two Medical
institutions within 5 sq. km. of the sports centre.. ..We need an investment of about 15 Crores
to set this up..( about $ 2 Million).
Total investment required for Human Resources : 29 Crs. ( $4 m). 3

CREATION INITIATIVE
Enhancement of the facilities within the MAIN KHUMAN LAMPAK SPORTS COMPLEX:
1. Construction of one modern Multipurpose Hall for Boxing & Sapak Thakraw training facilities
with facilities @ Rs. 15.00 Crores ($2 M)
2. Creation of a Sand-track for Strength Development ; Important for all Sports : 1.0 Cr.
($141,000).
3. Completion & Activation of the Rowing/Kayaking & Canoeing infrastructures at Loktak : Rs.
5.00 Crs. ($300,000)
4. Creation of Modernised Archery facilities at the present Archery Ground : Rs.5.0 crs.
($600,000)
5. Modernisation of the existing Swimming Pool & the Diver’s pool : 2.5 Crs ( $300,000)
6. Underground drainage system for main Football ground & two practice football fields :
5.0crs. ($600,000)
Total investment required for Khuman Lampak Sports Complex: Rs.33.5 Crs. ( $4.7 m).

1. Conversion of 5865 diesel public transport vehicles (auto/magic/winger) into CNG or e-vehicle
to promote clean energy and tackle air & noise pollution.
2. As per 2011 census, the total population of Manipur is 28,55,794 with a sex ratio of 985.
➢ Ima market is uniquely an all women-vendor market and so is the other street /local
market vendors.
➢ 6817 women vendors and nearly 8000 street vendors (mostly women) operational.
➢ Business starts early and ends late. For their safety and their empowerment, exclusive
transport services in the line of Pink Cab may be introduced
