3. Meaning of Culture
✶ Culture is the ideas and physical objects that
represents a group or society.It means a way of life of
a society.
✶ The knowledge,values , attitudes and traditions that
behaviour of a group and allow them to solve the
problem of their community.
✶ The word culture is derived from Latin word 'Colere'
which means ' to cultivate ' ,'to refine'care
for','worship'
✶ The German word 'Kulture' refers to attainment of
high level of civilization.
✶ In layman language,where there is a society ,there is
culture.

4. Definition of Culture.
✶ According to Mahatma Gandhi,'Culture is the
foundation,the primary thing .It should show
itself in the smallest detail of your conduct and
personal behaviour ,like how you sit ,
walk,dress.Inner culture must be reflected in
your speech , behaviour toward others ,guests,
teachers and elders.
✶ According to Dayanand Swamy, 'Culture consists
of acceptance of truth and abandonment bof
untruth'.
✶ According to L.A. White , ' Culture is a symbolic ,
continuous, cumulative and progressive '.

5. Education and Culture
✶ Culture and Education have always interrelated
as well as interdependent.One can never be
developed or implement without the help of the
other. Both serve each other to developed an
individual into a culture and educated person on
this earth.
✶ In technical sense Education is the process by
which society, through school,colleges
universities and other institutions, deliberately
transmit it culture heritage, it's accumulated
knowledge,values and skills from one
generation to another.
✶ Education is an instrument of Culture change.
