I matriculated in 1994 in the physical science stream, I then furthered my studies at the
Vaal University of Technology from 1996 till 1998, studying Electrical Engineering
(Heavy Current)
In 1999 I joined Center for Youth Development, a registered non-governmental
organization (NPO). During my time at this Center I attended the following capacity

4. Work Experience
a. Centre For Youth Development
I was hired as the Youth Empowerment Program Facilitator by the Center for Youth
Development in 1999. Due to restructuring I was assigned to head the new Training
and Development Department as a Coordinator. My task was to develop this fairly new
department, I was faced with a number of challenges in this position as the entire
training program of the Center was in my department. My job was a managerial
position, which exposed me to decision making without supervision. My duties were but
not limited to:
 To coordinate all training programmes for the organization
 To develop workshop manuals
 To facilitate workshops
 To monitor and evaluate training programmes
 Networking with other training institutions.
 Develop monthly reports for management meetings.
The Center for Youth Development had a partnership with Love Life between 2001 –
2003, in this partnership I was assigned to the position of Love Life Franchise Line
Manager. This meant ensuring that all Love Life programmes and objectives are
implemented and achieved as per business plan and within a set time frame.

b. Carroll Shaw Memorial Centre
In June 2003 I joined Carroll Shaw Memorial Centre a registered non-profit organization
(NGO) based in Westonaria as the Chief Operations Officer. My work was a Senior
Management position and my responsibilities were:
 To advise and support the Executive Director with all operational and strategic
matters affecting the Centre.
 Ensure compliance with the provision of Public Finance Management Act, 1999
as amended.
 Prepare and ensure that reports, letters, presentations, and other information
required by the Board and in terms of relevant legislation are adhered to.
 Develop, implement and maintain appropriate systems and policies to ensure
effective, efficient and economical management of operations in CSMC.
 Manage the office professionally and competently.
 Maintain positive relations with staff, clients, external donors, management and
the Board.
 Support the Executive Director in monitoring of costs against the set budget and
reporting to the Board of Directors.
c. Jako-Kwazekwabala Consortium
March 2006 I joint Jako-Kwazekwabala Consortium, a Civil and Structural
Engineering Consortium as the Chief Operations Officer till February 2007 when the
company was dissolved. My duties were;
 Receive job designs and methodology for the execution of any work from the
Directors/partners of the company.
 Market JKC with all prospective clients (municipalities, provincial and national
government departments, etc.) in all the provinces of South Africa for the work in
civil and structural engineering and projects management.
 Advice and support Directors with all operational and strategic matters affecting
JKC.
 Project management, contract documentation and administration.
 Compile proposals in response to request.
 Assist other Engineers and Technicians of JKC with technical and know-how to
discharge their responsibilities to ensure timely delivery of service on or before
due dates of submission
 To monitor implementation of projects and report to management on progress.
 To ensure that reports are developed timously for clients (e.g. Gauteng
Department of Roads and Public Works)
 General management of JKC office.

as the Human Resources Officer from February till August 2007, I was then retrenched
