BASIC FUNCTION:
The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall management of the branch, for spearheading the
branch’s marketing efforts and for the achievement of the branch sales and operational targets.He is the
chief salesperson of the branch’s retail products and services, actively calling on existing and potential
clients to ensure branch profitability. He personally markets for new accounts and designs ways to
achieve business plan targets and cross sells the bank’s varied products and services. Signs

1) Ensures that the expenses incurred by the branch are within the prescribed budget. Also
Monitors cost of funds and fee based revenues to ensure profitability.
2) Ensures that the housekeeping standards of the institution are met or even exceeded
3) Ensures that all transactions are within the standard operating procedures and strictly
follow bank’s policy
4) Ensures that personnel have a healthy working environment and that they conduct themselves
within the purview of the banks code of conduct.
5) Ensures that all clients have satisfactory experience in banking with PNB
