Original Countertop Finishes
1. ORIGINAL COUNTERTOP FINISHES
These finishes are “examples” from the training
manual. As you follow their coloring steps the
outcome of your finish will likely be different.
Your goal is NOT to match what we show, but to
create finishes that you will show.
Keep in mind that the finish you show may
change some from install to install. This is part of
the “custom coloring process” where no two
finishes will be exactly alike.

2. ORIGINAL COUNTERTOP FINISHES
These finishes are simply a reference for you.
As you understand the concepts taught in
training for creating granite, marble, stone,
concrete staining, and veining, you will be able to
translate your understanding into a multitude of
your own custom finishes.

3. ORIGINAL COUNTERTOP FINISHES
For each of your clients, we encourage you to
make a color sample right before you color the
tops for your client to approve.
Write down how you went about doing the
sample. This will be your recipe to follow. Note
color concentration, method of application,
amount of surface coverage, and what you did
between each color step.

4. ORIGINAL COUNTERTOP FINISHES
The sample board you make may be one you
wish to keep for showing your future clients.
Don’t hesitate to come up with a creative name
for your custom finish.
We encourage you to send us your recipe as well
as before and after pictures to share with others.

Final Thought:
Beauty is in the eye of your consumer.
This means a finish you do, do not care for, or
feel you could do better, may be exactly what
your client wants and is beyond their
expectations. Do not be too hard on yourself in
striving for perfection. Enjoy what you do and
your client will likely enjoy it more than you do!
