This course deals with the study of the patterns of human development especially focusing on the cognitive, biological, social, moral and emotional development of the child and adolescent learners.

8. Teratology is the field that investigates the
causes of congenital (birth) defects. A
teratogen is that which causes birth
defects. It coines from the Greek word
"tera" which means "monster"
