1.Collect fallen infested fruits and dispose them by
dumping in a pot covering with soil
2.Summer ploughing to expose the pupa
3.Immersion of fruits in hot water 45-47°C for 1hr to
kill eggs and maggots
4.Methyl eugenol sex lure traps are used to monitor
the incidence.
5.Chemical control- Malathion 50EC – 2ml/lit
Dimethoate30EC– 1ml/lit
