Letter of recommendation
To whom it may concern,
This letter is my personal recommendation for Mohamed Salia. My name is paul kronenberg
and I am the co-founder of kanthari (formerly known as IISE). kanthari offers an intensive 7
month leadership training to emerging social entrepreneurs from around the world. During
the training, participants are challenged to develop their own social ventures. Upon
returning home, participants receive start-up support. Mohamed Salia successfully
graduated the kanthari leadership course in 2009 that back then still existed of 11 months.
The kanthari Curriculum includes value- and skill-based workshops and group works in

The course also contains a strong mentoring and coaching component which ensures
continuous reflection and learning as well as successful project implementation.
Based on this training and his previous experience in community empowerment projects
for women and rural farmers, Mohamed Salia developed a complete business plan for his
venture SEED Sierra Leone that delivers microfinance and entrepreneurship skills services
and human rights trainings to rural communities targeting rural famers, business women
and youths.
