General Surgery Six-week Core Rotation
Clinic – Conducted detailed, focused examination for specific general
surgery problems.
o Pre-op appointments (H&P, Consent for Surgery, lab/imaging
requisitions, etc.), post-op appointments (wound checks, etc.).
Emergency Department – Surgical consults for ED patients.
Inpatient Services – Round on assigned patients during the week and chief

scissors, scalpel, various tissue forceps, hemostats, electrocautery,
