Case: Hamsterweken on Facebook

2. Our challenge
Hamsterweken is one of Albert Heijn’s most popular and recurring
campaigns thanks to its likeable hamster characters and the campaigns
offers and discounts.
Our challenge was to get ‘Hamsterweken’ more top of mind on
Facebook and create buzz prior to the national Hamsterweken
campaign.

4. We organised a hamster take-over of Facebook
In a very subtile way the hamsters took over Albert Heijn’s
Facebook page beginning by nibbling the logo in the page’s
profile picture. Although it almost looked like the page was
hacked Albert Heijn fans very much appreciated the original
and unique pre-anouncement of the Hamsterweken.
