A hardworking young man with the ability to work independently, and at own initiative within an

having previously been employed by the British Army for 7 years. I am flexible and adaptable with a
practical 'hands on' approach to all tasks, able to communicate confidently with others. Physically

2. • As a Lance Corporal in the army I was in charge of my subordinates’ wellbeing, time
keeping and ensuring they carry out the correct tasks passed down to them by the
senior members.
• Took part in command tasks focused on leadership, organizational skills and
problem solving.
• Serviced and maintained sophisticated equipment including weaponry and
communication systems
• Regularly completed arduous exercises including firearms training
• Excelled in physical fitness and training

Afghanistan
• Working as part of a 30 man unit providing precision fire, over watch, conducting
foot patrols and providing security for the forward operating base.
Canada
• Deployed to Canada on a large scale training exercise designed to improve
effective communication and team work between diverse military units.
• Took part in adventurous training exercises.
• Tasked to drive over varying terrains whilst remaining professional and maintaining
a convoy, this required great concentration and team work.
• Involved in many charitable events including coast to coast raising funds for help for
heroes and my Regiment
• Undertook numerous command task activities such as Section Commanding, Fire
Team Commander and Range Safety.
Cyprus
• Completed a six week team building exercise in Cyprus where I was given a
position above my normal rank.
• Performed team leader duties with the responsibility for the welfare of small close
knit teams
Kuwait
• Worked as part of the Range safety team for the exercising troops during ranges
• Worked as part of the demo troop, demonstrating the skills required for the
exercising troops to deploy on operations
