1. Production Facilities
In order to create a radio commercial to a professional standard a number of
production facilities are needed. Firstly the radio commercial company need to
ensure that there is a library of royalty free music available to use when
producing radio commercials. Here at E6 radio we have a production music
library consisting of a number of pieces of music available to use when producing
radio commercials.
It is also important that radio commercial production companies have a variety of
pre-recorded sound effects that are available to use when producing radio
commercials. We also have a library of pre-recorded sound effects to assist us
when creating our own radio commercial.
There also needs to be a number of
studio facilities available, including a
sound proof audio booth which is
usually a sound proof room with a glass
window, consisting of a microphone
and recording equipment to enable the
voice artist to read and record their
script, as well as a sound board to mix
sounds together.
Another production facility needed when producing radio commercials is an
editing work station which is simply a station where you can focus on editing the
radio commercial and is usually a computer consisting of two monitors.

Audacity is a multi track audio editor and
recorder allowing producers to do a
number of things such as:

-Cut, slice copy or mix sounds together
-Includes numerous effects
