Respond to public calls for service regarding complaints of criminal activity
Extensive experience with handling major incident scenes utilizing the Incident Command
System, primarily for major crime/incident scenes on the Metro rail and bus routes
Perform all emergency management and law enforcement functions for both long term and
short term crime reduction initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to police and safety
resource forecasting, logistical coordination between adjacent law enforcement agencies, and
reporting on progress of assigned patrol initiatives to first line supervisors and senior staff
Assess daily hazards in regards to crime and evaluate possible recovery options for fellow law
enforcement officers and members of the community in areas of high threat and crime
Prepare reports to supervisors and command staff to communicate findings of new crime
trends in the communities and make recommendations for improving law enforcement and
community relations
Coordinate crime prevention initiatives/strategies and build strategic partnerships with
interagency partners including the FBI, Department of Homeland Security, Department of
Defense, Transportation Security Administration, Federal Transit Administration, Department of
Transportation, D.C. Metropolitan Police department, and various local Maryland and Northern
Virginia law enforcement agencies.
Advise senior staff on resolutions to complex crime/emergency management problems in high
crime areas
Train to deploy and assist passengers on the metro rail and bus lines in the event of major
incidents and/or natural disasters to provide basic safety functions and care. This includes food,
water, and evacuation to a safe zone
Transport necessary emergency equipment and resources to strategic locations during major
incident scenes to mitigate additional hazards

Assistant Operations Officer - Captain (05/11 - 11/12)
Reviewed and updated unit standard operating procedures, conducted reconnaissance of
training areas to ensure they met training needs, and oversaw various training exercises
Assisted the Chief Operations Officer (COO) with planning the quarterly and annual unit training
schedules
Prepared briefing event materials and reports for the COO and made recommendations for
improvement on training exercises and daily operations
Conducted After Action Reviews and audits of all training and operations to identify
shortcomings and implement controls to improve daily performance goals
Served as acting Commander during a digital War Fighter Exercise in our assigned simulation
cell. I was tasked with responsibility of mission tracking, personnel administration, and
determining appropriate courses of action to achieve assigned performance objectives

Conducted risk assessments for all daily operations/training events to identify and mitigate
potential hazards
Effectively conducted several quarterly and annual sensitive equipment inventories over a two
year period. I was responsible for 100% accountability of multi-million dollar U.S. Government
equipment and assigned vehicles

Section Leader – 1st Lieutenant (Operation Iraqi Freedom-Baghdad, Iraq) (09/08 - 09/09)
Commanded a 21 personnel reconnaissance unit
Planned operations, issued operations orders, supervised personnel administration, and
formulated standard operating procedures for daily operations in a combat environment.
Coordinated daily with U.S. Army intelligence analysts to develop target methods to identify
enemy combatants in assigned area of operation.
Responsible for the security of the approximately 10 mile thoroughfare north of Baghdad, Iraq,
as well as the security of 5 large villages, with an indigenous population of Iraqi nationals,
numbering approximately 200,000
Conducted joint security operations with local Iraqi Police/Army officials on a daily basis
Tasked with several public relations missions and met with local town leaders to discuss
security issues
Assisted local business owners with securing minor financial grants from the U.S. military in
order to build small businesses to increase commerce and profit within the local communities
Section Leader – 2nd Lieutenant (05/04 -09/08)
Tasked with command and responsibility of several combat and combat support sections,
consisting of approximately 16-35 soldiers
Planned daily operations, issued operations orders, supervised personnel administration, and

vehicles, weapons, and security sensitive equipment, valued at approximately 12 million dollars

Worked with the museum's assistant curator in cataloging and researching donated U.S.
military historical items. This included, but was not limited to uniforms, weapons collections,
