2. Provided expertise on the DoD Joint Training System, its application in support of various DoD

facilitator on facilitation teams hosting 20 different workshops.
Participated four times as a member of a Naval Post-Graduate School Center for Military
Relations (CCMR) -lead facilitation team assisting the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense in their
development of a Joint Operations Command, presenting briefings on Information Management,
the Joint Operations Center Concept, the Joint Training System, and the J-7, and led discussions
on these concepts.
Analyzed training requirements for three Sweden-hosted Partnership for Peace exercises, and
produced mission-essential task lists and one exercise Collection Management Plan in support of
these exercises.
Prepared a detailed analysis on Joint Staff-supported exercise internal issues for 2010-2013.
Prepared a detailed analysis comparing the U.S. Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) with NATO’s
Exercise Planning Process.
As an Instructional Systems Designer and then a Project Manager with Computer Sciences Corporation:
Designed computer-based and classroom instructional materials for DoD, the Defense
Acquisition University, the U. S. Army, BlueCross BlueShield, and various CSC offices.
Managed a 10-person team of instructional systems designers, programmers, and graphic artists
in the analysis, design, and development of computer-based courseware for up to 12 projects
simultaneously for a variety of government and commercial clients, including Defense
Acquisition University (DAU), USDA, EPA, NASA, Medicare/Medicaid, BlueCross BlueShield
(BCBS), and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) Corporate HRD. Responsible for the
resource management, standardization, design, development, and delivery of courseware to meet
client requirements, as well as for supervision of team personnel.
Developed and delivered Joint Computer-aided Logistic Support System (JCALS) general user
and technical functional user classroom training to over 100 DoD personnel at several sites, and
provided functional operations site support for the same system.
As a US Army Field Artillery officer:
Managed the training, operations, objectives, supply, administration, and maintenance of a field
artillery howitzer battery of 115 men and over $2-million (1985 $) in equipment, as that unit’s
commander, while simultaneously commanding a firebase on the Korean Demilitarized Zone.
Planned and coordinated temporary quarters and workspace, construction of permanent facilities,
operational control, and movement, for the then-classified deployment of a 90-man nuclear-
capable Lance missile battery from the United States to the Republic of Korea.
Directly supervised a 20-person team of trainers in the day-to-day training of a 500-person
logistics support battalion preparing for deployment to Bosnia.
Trained two field artillery battalion staffs in tactical intelligence and operations center operations
prior to their deployment to Bosnia.
Trained over 16 successive 120-person field artillery batteries in correct tactical operations and
use of over $3 million (1989 $) worth of equipment.
Analyzed fire support operations of maneuver brigades and battalions participating in realistic
field exercises, using an automated tracking system to support training feedback.
Directed a team of 125 soldiers and civilians in the day-to-day operation of an $82 million (1994
$) automated analysis and audiovisual system supporting analysis of the training of Army and
NATO maneuver brigades and battalions.
