and Deedra Hall were the
committee for this project.
After meeting with the activi-
ty directors at Life Care and
Heritage Center, we decided
on shampoo, conditioner, lotion, Kleenex and soft candies. Leroy Self also
donated some lotions.
After shopping, we met at Marie’s for bagging and there were a total of 83
bags which were divided and delivered to both nursing homes. We were very
well received and appreciated. These bags will be delivered on Christmas
Eve by Santa to residents who do not get many visitors.

Well, here it is, the beginning of a new year, last year will leave a forever
memory of sadness with many of us. I certainly want to apologize to each and
every one of you for my lacking of getting the newsletter completed and sent
out. I have to admit, I have been struggling somewhat, but I am going to start
off this new year bright and fresh and with more ambition than ever.
I would like to thank all of you for your love and support that has been shown
not only to me but to Gwen and Don as well. In speaking for myself, you have
been a blessing to my family and I realize now why Butch loved this club so
much. In keeping his spirit going, we will be having the Winter Angel Expo
coming up in a few weeks, I hope to see you there. The WAE committee has
been working hard to make this year’s show just as exciting and worthwhile as
last year. My upmost appreciation to all of you. Everyone has really stepped it
up and it shows. Jerry Kloos took the reins and has put together a team with fire
in their eyes and a willingness to do what is necessary to get the job done. Just
hoping the weather holds out, that is the only thing I see that would even come
close to us not having a successful show.
In December, we participated in several events, beginning with the Morristown
Christmas Parade, Junebug made it and it was quite an honor to be driving her
down Main Street, but I couldn’t help but remember the last time she went down
Main Street and a few tears were shed. Although, Jacob told me that I wasn’t
allowed to cry while driving Junebug, I had to have a clear view of the road.
What a kid!! It was great to see all of those that came out to be in the parade,
and one of our own, Elmer and Theresa Blanken had the honor of escorting the
Grand Marshall, Ms. Cookie Larkin. I believe a fun time was had by all. I
know there were other parades that some of you may have participated in, like
the Rouse Road parade, I seen the pictures and just wish I could have made my-
self come, but it was one of those struggle times. The HCCC Christmas Party
was exciting as ever, and the food as amazing as it always is. I just love the
plaque. If you didn’t make it to our annual Angel Tree Shopping, oh my gosh,
we cleared Wal Mart of every Frozen item I believe they had. It is always so
much fun, so glad that Mr. Barbara and her family could be with us, as well as
Ms. Ambria Collins from the Citizen Tribune, that absolutely wrote a wonderful
article about what it is that we do.
Well, let’s get this year started on the right foot, here’s to a successful car show.
Please remember all those in need of prayer, much love to all of you.
Much love,
Lisa
