To say that I believe the Winter Angel
Expo was a great success may just be
the biggest understatement of the year,
I know it is only February, but from
the participants, to the vendors and
spectators, everyone certainly seemed
to have an amazing time. I know I did.
The weather was as perfect as each
and every one of the vehicles that were
inside and those outside on display.
My sincere thanks to Tony Hancock and his family that so graciously attended in
bring the beautiful 34 Ford from Petty’s Garage/Museum. It was certainly a
pleasure in meeting them. It was also a pleasure to meet John Zieba and his
beautiful 29 Model A Sedan that he
put on display (Root Beer Float),
both vehicles were absolutely
amazing in every way possible.
My most sincere thanks to all that
played a part in getting the first of
many, hopefully, Winter Angel
Expos off the ground and into the
Expo Center. Many hours have been
spent in planning, speaking with potential sponsors, to gathering of door prizes, to
the layout of advertising, scheduling, you name it, we had someone there to
handle. Just another reason this organization is so special. The willingness to
help and volunteer was abundant during this time. Everyone deserves a big ole
pat on the back. Can’t wait until next year!
Much love and happiness to all!! **Look for pictures!!!!!!

President’s Letter—February 2015 by Don McGinnis
February and winter time has arrived, cold weather is upon us. It is hard to
keep our automobiles clean & shining, even setting in the garage they get
dusty.
Thank God for the beautiful week-end we had on Jan. 17th
& 18th
, our first
annual Winter Angle Expo was a success. Special thanks to the car show
committee and to all of our club members, the show went off smooth as
planned. I have heard several great comments about the show. Even the
people that usually complain were saying it was one of the best shows they
had attended. Many of our sponsors have stated they want to be a part of
our show next year. As for next year the show will be bigger and better, as
we are planning to have a swap meet in the building directly behind the
main Expo arena. Some of our club members have already delivered flyers
at the big swap meet that was held in Gray TN. the last week in Jan.
Let’s start thinking about Cruise-in season; It is only 3 months away. Our
Public Relations Director, Gene Honeycutt has already contacted the folks
at the Mall and we have the ok to use the same area again this year for our
cruise-ins. We need to be planning our trailer work schedule and working
on ways to help with our spring events. Remember what it says on our name
badges [ DON’T JUST ASSOCIATE , PARTICIPATE ]
Thinking of spring events, our first FUN RUN is coming up this month.
Theresa Blanken has made arrangements for our Valentine fun run to the
Green Tomato Grill. Join us for a good time, good food, and a lot of fun.
Keep warm this winter & remember to keep our members and their families
that are sick or hurting in your prayers.

Greetings HCCC!
WHEW!! Maybe a double WHEW!! Winter Angel Expo has come and gone. The success of
the show lies in part to the 40+ HCCC members that worked in planning, preparation, and
during this blessed event. It could have not been the success it was without you. Thanks to all
committee leaders and those that entered their vehicles, my whole letter could be in thanks and
praise! Planning is already under way for 2016 with 2 corporate sponsors, people wanting to
enter the model car show as vendors, and a swap meet in the adjacent building. Flyers have
been handed out for the swap meet in Gray, TN at their large swap meet that was held this past
weekend. Please speak up if you want to be in the planning.
Plans are under way for the cruise-ins for 2016. Information will be given out at the February
19th
meeting as well as the sign-up sheet for the trailer workers.
Also, discussion will be held on the Jefferson County Fair parking that is available for us again
this year. We need this added income.
Car shows are also in the works, as we start with the April 25th
being the Jr. Club’s show at
East High School. We can use some senior club help again.
The Downtown Association is planning on a May show, the FOP has one planned for May
17th
, the MG Club is asking for our assistance with a show for the Daily Bread and a showing
of vehicles at the Strawberry Festival is needed.
The Jr. Club is taking $5 donations for tickets for a 350 Chevy engine that is to be given away
at their show in April. You can get 5 tickets for $20.00.
Be thinking of a Sunday date to go to the Cherokee Dragstrip with the Jr. club for a fun day,
plans are underway.
Finally, Victory Junction is coming up April 28th
– 30th
. We have a 24 passenger bus available
that also will be taking us to various Nascar shops, plus the bears!
Please remember our members and friends that not up to snuff! Prayer does help!!!

The Hamblen County Car Club
MD Pharmacy, which opened in November of 2010, is locally owned and operated by Don
Bunch, Mike Bunch, and John Jones. Dr. Jones is pharmacist and part-owner. We pride our-
selves in our friendly staff, which is comprised of fifteen employees that know everyone by
name and strive to efficiently help each patient to our best ability. We meet all four dollar lists
and provide free delivery services to all surrounding counties. Personable staffs, free mail out
delivery, and free bubble packing are some other services we provide. We also have two drive-
thru windows to accommodate patients that need urgent attention and care. Hours of operation
are 9am-6pm, Monday through Friday, and 9am-1pm on Saturday. Working with, and sup-
porting, the Winter Angel Expo has been a fulfilling experience for all those involved here at
the pharmacy. Not only is this function near and dear to our
heart due to one of our former employees, Paul MClain, but it
was a good way for the Pharmacy to give back and interact
with the community.
Emily and Robin, our employees that attended the Winter
Angel Expo, had nothing but wonderful things to say regard-
ing this event and had a blast representing our MD family.
If you or someone you know wants to put an ad on the trailer,

February 2015

  • 1. 1 In this issue: Editor’s Corner 1 New Members 2 Sick & Sympathy List 2 President’s Letter 3 Minutes 4 HCCC in Pictures 5 To say that I believe the Winter Angel Expo was a great success may just be the biggest understatement of the year, I know it is only February, but from the participants, to the vendors and spectators, everyone certainly seemed to have an amazing time. I know I did. The weather was as perfect as each and every one of the vehicles that were inside and those outside on display. My sincere thanks to Tony Hancock and his family that so graciously attended in bring the beautiful 34 Ford from Petty’s Garage/Museum. It was certainly a pleasure in meeting them. It was also a pleasure to meet John Zieba and his beautiful 29 Model A Sedan that he put on display (Root Beer Float), both vehicles were absolutely amazing in every way possible. My most sincere thanks to all that played a part in getting the first of many, hopefully, Winter Angel Expos off the ground and into the Expo Center. Many hours have been spent in planning, speaking with potential sponsors, to gathering of door prizes, to the layout of advertising, scheduling, you name it, we had someone there to handle. Just another reason this organization is so special. The willingness to help and volunteer was abundant during this time. Everyone deserves a big ole pat on the back. Can’t wait until next year! • 3. 3 President’s Letter—February 2015 by Don McGinnis February and winter time has arrived, cold weather is upon us. It is hard to keep our automobiles clean & shining, even setting in the garage they get dusty. Thank God for the beautiful week-end we had on Jan. 17th & 18th , our first annual Winter Angle Expo was a success. Special thanks to the car show committee and to all of our club members, the show went off smooth as planned. I have heard several great comments about the show. Even the people that usually complain were saying it was one of the best shows they had attended. Many of our sponsors have stated they want to be a part of our show next year. As for next year the show will be bigger and better, as we are planning to have a swap meet in the building directly behind the main Expo arena. Some of our club members have already delivered flyers at the big swap meet that was held in Gray TN. the last week in Jan. Let’s start thinking about Cruise-in season; It is only 3 months away. Our Public Relations Director, Gene Honeycutt has already contacted the folks at the Mall and we have the ok to use the same area again this year for our cruise-ins. We need to be planning our trailer work schedule and working on ways to help with our spring events. Remember what it says on our name badges [ DON’T JUST ASSOCIATE , PARTICIPATE ] Thinking of spring events, our first FUN RUN is coming up this month. Theresa Blanken has made arrangements for our Valentine fun run to the Green Tomato Grill. Join us for a good time, good food, and a lot of fun. Keep warm this winter & remember to keep our members and their families that are sick or hurting in your prayers. MONTHLY MEETING FEB. 19TH AT SHONEYS---------HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE EAT AT 6:00-----MEET AT 7:00 Don Thank God for the beautiful week- end we had on Jan. 17th & 18th , our first annual Winter Angle Expo was a success. The success of the show lies in part to the 40+ HCCC members that worked in planning, preparation, and during this blessed event. It could have not been the success it was without you. Thanks to all committee leaders and those that entered their vehicles, my whole letter could be in thanks and praise! Planning is already under way for 2016 with 2 corporate sponsors, people wanting to enter the model car show as vendors, and a swap meet in the adjacent building. Flyers have been handed out for the swap meet in Gray, TN at their large swap meet that was held this past weekend. Please speak up if you want to be in the planning. Plans are under way for the cruise-ins for 2016. Information will be given out at the February 19th meeting as well as the sign-up sheet for the trailer workers. Also, discussion will be held on the Jefferson County Fair parking that is available for us again this year. We need this added income. Car shows are also in the works, as we start with the April 25th being the Jr. Club’s show at East High School. We can use some senior club help again. The Downtown Association is planning on a May show, the FOP has one planned for May 17th , the MG Club is asking for our assistance with a show for the Daily Bread and a showing of vehicles at the Strawberry Festival is needed. The Jr. Club is taking $5 donations for tickets for a 350 Chevy engine that is to be given away at their show in April. You can get 5 tickets for $20.00. Be thinking of a Sunday date to go to the Cherokee Dragstrip with the Jr. club for a fun day, plans are underway. Finally, Victory Junction is coming up April 28th – 30th . We have a 24 passenger bus available that also will be taking us to various Nascar shops, plus the bears! Please remember our members and friends that not up to snuff! Prayer does help!!! • 10. 10 Hamblen County Car Club 928B Jarnigan Ave Morristown, TN 37813 www.hamblencountycarclub.org The Hamblen County Car Club MD Pharmacy, which opened in November of 2010, is locally owned and operated by Don Bunch, Mike Bunch, and John Jones. Dr. Jones is pharmacist and part-owner. We pride our- selves in our friendly staff, which is comprised of fifteen employees that know everyone by name and strive to efficiently help each patient to our best ability. We meet all four dollar lists and provide free delivery services to all surrounding counties. Personable staffs, free mail out delivery, and free bubble packing are some other services we provide. We also have two drive- thru windows to accommodate patients that need urgent attention and care. Hours of operation are 9am-6pm, Monday through Friday, and 9am-1pm on Saturday. Working with, and sup- porting, the Winter Angel Expo has been a fulfilling experience for all those involved here at the pharmacy. Not only is this function near and dear to our heart due to one of our former employees, Paul MClain, but it was a good way for the Pharmacy to give back and interact with the community. Emily and Robin, our employees that attended the Winter Angel Expo, had nothing but wonderful things to say regard- ing this event and had a blast representing our MD family. If you or someone you know wants to put an ad on the trailer, Please contact Don McGinnis—581-1728
