2. WHY LEARN TO WRITE?
 In order to participate in society, it is important to have our writing skill developed. Thus, we become
literate (by knowing how to write and read) and being literate allows the contact with important news or
people around you by searching something on internet/sending a message to your aunt to see how is
she doing and mostly, information all around us. There are some things that need to be taught because
is part of the daily basis and may be things we want to transmit to people and this might be done by the
writing.
 Education is important and to have the privilege it is needed this skill. Teaching how to write is important
because shows the importance that one has towards the language and also caring for the students so
they can accomplish well the skills.

3. THE PROCESS OF WRITING
 Planning  Drafting
 Editing (reflecting and
revising)  Final revision
In order for the writing
to be done at its best it
is necessary to plan
what we want to write,
could be thought as,
also, brainstorm.
After that, we have to
find our purpose. Later,
we have to do a
research on the topic
we want to talk about
and then we have to
structure our planning.
You write the first
version of the writing.
Here does not make
any difference if
grammar is bad or
good, here the
important thing is to
start to develop the
topic by following the
structure you thought
in the planning step.
You go at your own
rhythm. You come out
with your ideas and
then write them.
Start the process in a deeper
way. You check up (reflect) if
the information you have is
clear, too much, too short or
(revise) if the way you write it is
confusing or ambiguous.
This helps in the reading
comprehension and the writing
comprehension, of course,
because you revise what you did
and reflect the way you did it.
This step is important
so you can polish every
mistake done while the
previous steps.
You detailed everything
so the audience you
want could be ready to
read it and also make
comments about it.
Once checked this, the
version should look
different from the first
and the previous
version.

4. TYPES OF TEXTS
There are eight types of texts with different goals.
 Recount To say again an event, experience or various events. Here is only write about personal data.
 Narrative Telling a story. Here you stimulate, create a trama, inspire,
etc.
 Description Give a detailed information about something or
someone.
 Report Presents valid information about a topic, with researches as a
background.

 Procedure Gives instructions about how to do something or how something was done so you can
recreate it.
 Explanation Give detailed information of an event; when, how, what;
occurred.
 Argument You discuss about a topic seeing both sides of it; the pros and
cons.
 Persuasive
Convince the reader to do something or how to think in something, believe and so on. The purpose of this is only to
sway you in a way.
