1. Questionnaire Evaluation
In the completion of all my questionnaires the most voted for masthead was
“College Life”, this is why I decided to take this masthead and use it for my
college magazine. When asking what colour scheme would work best, the most
popular answer was bright colours. After seeing this I have decided to use
colours blue and a hint of red as these appeal to both genders. I also have
decided that I would like to do a scheme with shades of one colour as somebody
suggested when answering my questionnaire.
From the questionnaire answers I found out that when first seeing the front
cover of a magazine the things that stand out to people the most are the central
image, the masthead, puffs, colour schemes and fonts, eye catching features and
special features.
I have taken into account what interests people have and what they’d like to read
articles about when deciding what articles to create for the use on my front cover
and contents page. These are interests that people said they would like in the
magazine to read about: clothes/fashion, news, music, sports, politics, upcoming
events, revision tips, movies, books, university degrees and student saving
tips/finance. When deciding about my articles I tried to take as many of these
into account as I could. I also found out from my questionnaire that people would
like both work/business and lifestyle articles.
