2. Mercy & JusticeMercy & Justice
• Is that which the Messengers came with
from Allah, the Almighty, is it mercy for
His servants? Or the of it purpose is to set
a scale for accountability to detect the
mistakes of people, and to take revenge?
• Allah, The Almighty, said in the Sacred
Hadith: “Indeed My mercy preceded
my Wrath.” ( Al-Bukhari).
3. The Message & the MessengerThe Message & the Messenger
• The message is inseparable from the one who brought it,
{.. Surely, We have been sending. Mercy from
your Lord; it is He who is All-Hearing, All-
Knowing.}(44/5-6).
• Therefore, his character (S) was the Holy Quran, and he
was the mercy in essence {We have not sent you but
as mercy for all the worlds.} (21/107).
• Hence, Muhammad (S) was mercy for all people, because
mercy embraces all people { We have not sent you (O
Muhammad) but as a universal Messenger to the
entire mankind....} (34/28).
4. The Message & the MessengerThe Message & the Messenger
• The Prophet (S) said about himself: “Indeed, I
am a mercy presented (to mankind)”
(Mustadrak).
• This confirms that he is the supreme reference
because he is the mercy, which is Islam, the
message “Verily, I have been sent to
perfect good characters.” (Musnad
Ahmed).
• This is the noble character with which he was
praised by the One who sent him to all mankind
to teach it to them {And indeed, you are of a
great noble character} (68/4).
5. The Message & the MessengerThe Message & the Messenger
• Therefore, he was the best and the greatest teacher in the
school of human life. This is why he was sent, as he (S)
said: “I have been sent as teacher” (Sunnan Ibn
Majah).
• Surely, he was sent with this sealing message to be the
teacher of all humanity {We have not sent you but
as a Messenger to all mankind, a Giver of glad
tidings, and a Warner, but most people do not
know.} {[34/28]
• He (S) is, then, the divine model of perfection for
humanity so that all people may follow his pattern;
hence, he may generously enlighten them with his great
character.
6. The Aim of the MessageThe Aim of the Message
• He (S) said: “There is nothing on the scale of the
believer on the Day of resurrection, heavier
than noble character” (Sahih Tirmithi).. and this,
indeed, is the aim of the Message.
• Therefore, no one should think that fast and the night
prayer and endeavouring for more of that, is exclusively
the worship and the aim of the message.
• It is mentioned in the Hadith: “Indeed, the
most beloved to me of you and the most
nearer to me in the hereafter are the best
in character.” (Ibn Habban).
7. The Aim of the MessageThe Aim of the Message
• The Prophet (S) said: “Indeed, the most
beloved to me of you and the most
nearer to me in the hereafter are the
best in character.” (Ibn Habban).
• The Prophet (S) said: “Religion is
good conduct”; and said: “Religion
is good interaction”
8. The WorshipThe Worship
• S51:“[56] And I did
not create the Jinn
and mankind except
to worship Me.
• [57] I don’t want from
them any provision,
nor do I want them to
feed Me.
• [58] Indeed, it is Allah
Who is the [continual]
Provider, the firm
possessor of
strength.”
9. The Kalima: Good conduct withThe Kalima: Good conduct with
AllahAllah
• Allah (SW) said: “Why should Allah
punish you if you are grateful and
true believers?” (4/147).
• There is no God But Allah, and
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
• Acknowledgement & appreciation.
• Acceptance of the leadership of Rasoolu
Allah (S).
10. The Salah & Good conductThe Salah & Good conduct
• He whose prayer does not keep him away from
shameful and evil deeds has no prayer since
Allah ordained the prayer to stop the one who
performs it from evil character, which is
“shameful and evil deeds” {Surely Prayer
keeps one away from shameful and evil
deeds}[29/45].
• The Prophet (S) said: “The most perfect in
Iman among people are those who have
the best character, indeed good character
reaches the level of fast and prayer”
(Majma’ Al-Zawa’id)
11. Fasting & Good conductFasting & Good conduct
• The Prophet (S) said: “Fasting is a shield; so if one of you
is fasting, he should approach women or do any
corruption; and if some one swore at him, let him say I
am fasting, I am fasting”.
• The person who fast and backbites people has broken his
fast by their flesh. The Hadith remarks: "Many are the
people who fast but who gain nothing from their
fast except hunger and thirst” (Sahih Tirmithi).
• “It was said to the Messenger of Allah (S) that such a
woman prays the night and fasts the day and in her
words is something harmful to her neighbours, he said:
“there is no good with her, she is in the fire.”
(Mustadrak).

people of understanding” (2/197).
