a. Singular nouns
Ex: a book, a dictionary, an orange, an apple…
Note: “an” is used before a vowel (mostly nouns starting
with u,e,o,a, i ).
b. Plural nouns
* Mostly: N_sing + s = > N_plural
Ex: book -> books
orange -> oranges
key -> keys

* Nouns ending with s,x,sh,ch followed by “es” to form
plural nouns.
Ex: bus -> buses
box -> boxes
dish -> dishes
watch -> watches
* Nouns ending with “y” , “y” changed to “ies” to form
plural nouns.
Ex: country -> countries
party -> parties
