cell.

Heavy growing competition affects the growth of company.
They introduced various schemes for their subscribers that will help to
maintain circulation.
Company website is an effective tool to provide information about the
products and services.
Mangalam though being a popular newspaper lacks the corporate
strategy for modernization
18. Mangalam lacks the productivity in order to exploit the youth market.
The labors are satisfied with the relationship with the management and the
grievances handling procedure of the company.
The labor is highly satisfied with the present settlement in the company and the
wage structure.

Mangalam has a very good circulation in middle Kerala and northern Kerala.
This company has a good traditional background, which will help to increase
their reputation among the public.
The relationship between the workers and management was found to be very
good.
19. SUGGESTIONS
Mangalam can adopt new marketing and promotional activities in
order to compete with their competitors.
To establish the brand name to the next generation, start some
programs like giving newspapers to schools and conducting
competitions and training programs to the students.
Start some social initiatives through newspaper like ‘save energy’ to
give the public a message and also to increase publicity through it.
Make the public aware about the growth of Mangalam newspaper,
i.e. increase in circulation. This will attract the public.
Improve the language used in the newspaper in order to attract more
readers.
Try to include a business page.
20. More training and awareness programs mainly oriented to field staff, to
increase their morale.
Promote better customer relationship.
Circulation department should develop new strategies for better coverage of
potential areas.
Split edition of magazines.
More cross promotions will be cost effective.
Have to redesign their website thereby providing more facilities to the
customers.
Adopt quality circles.
Measures to adopt voluntary retirement scheme in the company.
21. There is no HR department in the organization. HR Department is the most important
department as far as an organization is concerned. Mangalam should first of all need an
HR Department of its own. It helps administration more effective.
Even if it holds a third position in market, the reach of the newspaper is very low.
Hencet he company has to adopt new marketing strategies in order to improve its reach.
The pages of Mangalam can be little more attractive. Adopt compatible technology in
printing and improve the quality of the paper.
Proper communication, interpersonal relation and guidance are needed.
Introduce more marketing and promotional scheme to increase circulation of copies,
front page should be more attractive.
