CURRICULUM VITAE
Background:
As a CEO I have extensive experience and competence within in the following areas: strategy,
leadership, planning, change and improvement. My strengths are to quickly get a holistic and
analytical overview and to construct activity plans. My perseverance makes me reach my goals. I
have international experience of leading companies in more than twenty countries. I am truly goal
oriented which helps me in my aim to always reach higher.
My areas of competence:
Leadership/HR: My experience with and my genuine interest in people have helped me deepen my
social competence. I am known to bring out the very best in most co-workers. To me, every person,
no matter how big or small, plays a vital part in any organization.
Economy: From my education as well as my experience, I know the importance of thoroughly
analyzing the results and working with the correct key figures as well as following them up at
adequate intervals. The analyses should always result in not only what has happened, but more
importantly, what will happen.
Sales/ business development: I see business potentials in most everything. “How can we sell
better?” is the question that constantly goes through my mind and which results in new businesses
of different kinds. The introduction of 3G in the Stockholm subway system, the re-organization of
subway stations into meeting points with good service for the passers-by, the foliation of train carts
and the systematic catering of food to retirement homes are just a few examples. All with new
visible proceeds.
Purchase and Logistics: I have been in the forefront of working towards finding internationally
adequate solutions for IKEA Food Services (IFS). In translation, the project was called “From
meadow to stomach” to illustrate all things big and small in the food chain. As the CEO of SL, I
constructed a new way of how to view different kinds of tendering, all within LOU*. The essence
here was to see the benefits of customer satisfaction from a holistic perspective. This resulted in
the current contract for shuttles as well as for the subway, including time tables and up-keep. This
was also something SL greatly profited from.
*LOU: Swedish, “Lagen om Offentlig Upphandling” (Law about Public Procurement)
Professional results:
At SL I have introduced the concept ”SLs Strategic Platform”. This document was implemented in
2005-2006 and defines deliverance from the passenger’s point of view. The requirements were
then defined by a bigger group of managers, which created a common view on what controls short-
as well as long term decisions.

I have been on many boards of directors, as a chairperson or as a member. The most important
position so far was the chairperson of Transitio AB (www.transito.se)
As having been responsible for IFS, I changed a “sleeping potential”, without given structures or
results, into a unified global business with great expansion, cost control and positive results.
During my time at IFS, I headed the foundation of ”business-in –business” (or shop-in-shop) action.
Due to the fact that a meal does not compete with furniture sales, but rather enhances them, this
became a win-win-situation.
During my time as CEO at SL, the company made a profit, which is quite rare in public transport
businesses. In 2005 we had a sales record of 4 084 MSEK, which was touched already in 2006.
At Högskolerestauranger AB (HÖRS), I led the Turn Around and turned a long period of economic
loss into the strongest period of prosperity since the foundation of the company in 1970. In HÖRS,
IFS and SL, I have successfully implemented an effective and systematic way of thought in order to
identify and meet necessary goals.
