4.  Epigenetic changes refer to genetic
material influenced by the
environment, and the regulation is
related to adapt to such changes,
giving plasticity to the genome and in
turn, forming distinct phenotypes
environment dependent, so that they
acquire stable qualities and heritable.
 Integrins are cell adhesion proteins.
Are fundamental in embryogenesis and
regeneration of tissues, which are
made in basic pathogenic effects such
as in cancer.

5. Histones are nuclear proteins that
are responsible for packing and
compacting genetic material, thus
forming the chromatin. For this
protein to perform its function, it
needs to be acetylated, this process
is achieved by the acetyl CoA
donates a acetyl group to the
histone.

6. Histone acetylation relaxes the DNA chain,
allowing it to be replicated and expressed. Until
now it was unknown this process of acetylation,
but now found that producing enzyme Acetyl CoA
from mitochondria is also found in the nucleus,
with the particularity that in mitochondria
produces Acetyl CoA for energy production, while
that in the nucleus is exclusive to histone
acetylation.

7. Initially, the research team sought to
measure levels of Acetyl CoA and PDC in
mitochondria, but accidentally got isolated
nuclei and observed the presence of this
enzyme in these organelles.

8. The presence of the enzyme
pyruvate dehydrogenase
(PDC) in the core is related to
the faster growth of cancer
cells, so this study will bring
implications not only
pathologically but also
physiological, in order to
better understand the
functioning and development
of disease and thereby
contribute to the discovery of
a cure for this terrible
disease.

9. In my opinion this finding is very important and will bring great progress
in a matter of treating diseases like cancer, because with this, you may
have a new target at the time of manufacture or develop drug therapies
that contribute to war to find the cure for cancer, or at least, achieve
better quality of life for people who daily struggle against this disease
that claims so many lives around the world.

10. All cells in our body have a cell membrane,
which separates the cell from the external
environment. This membrane is composed
of a lipid bilayer, proteins and
carbohydrates among others. Disruption
of any of these components not only
causes physical changes in the membrane,
but also brings impact level signaling and
cell survival.

11. In the investigation it was
found that increasing the
length of the chains of
glycoproteins that comprise
the cell membrane, it brings
dreadful effects, such as
disturbance of integrins and
disruption of cell signaling
processes. This is not only the
metabolism but also growth
and cell movement is affected.

12. These changes in the
signal, leading to cell
growth and survival
without any control,
that is, apotosis
processes are altered,
favoring the
proliferation of
cancer cells.

13. Alteration of the grouping
expression and form
receptor promotes diseases
like cancer, making it even
more lethal. This research
has great influence not only
in the field of molecular
biology, but also in
physiology, biochemistry
and pathology

I believe that such discoveries promote finding new
ways not only to understand but to handle different
diseases that are common, such as cancer. The impact
of this research goes beyond understanding the
biochemical process that is altered, but how this
affects the quality of life of patients.

15. Cancer is a disease that
attacks humanity in an
exponential form, so
this research hold out
hope of someday
finding a cure for this
disease not only, but
for others who are also
involved, for example
in the epigenetic
regulation.

16. Knowledge and
understanding of all the
processes that are
affected in a pathology
contribute positively to
finding cures and
treatments, as well there
are greater chances of
reaching a cure or
effective ways of
improving the quality of
life of patients

17. Knowing the changes
that occur in the cell
membrane in
carcinogenic processes
open the possibility
that new drugs are
developed with
targeted integrins and
membrane
glycoproteins, with the
aim of allowing cellular
regulation in all
aspects.

18. The maintenance of cell
signaling in optimal
conditions, it is certainly
critical for normal
development of life. That
is why you should
investigate further in this
regard, in order to have a
broader view of the
actual processes and
thus have a more solid
foundation for the
development of drugs
and cancer treatments
