1. Support Your Local Food Banks
It is just as important to do nothing and stay home during this time of the
Coronavirus outbreak to protect yourself and others, but for those of you who
are in good health without preexisting conditions, you may want to go all in and
support your local food banks.
With so many people out of work, the food banks in your community are now
your first responders working on the front lines to help feed those in need. Most
food banks have seen a 500% increase or more in requests for food in the last few
weeks, with more and more requests to come from our nation unemployed and
growing each day.
For those of you who have the means and are looking for ways to help, please
support your local food banks by volunteering to sort donated food that will
ultimately be sent out to help others or consider donating money to support the
urgent need to feed our hungry in our communities.
