LeStacia D Warren, Owner, Career Coaching and Program Development and founder of
Students Toward Employment Placement (STEP). STEP is a career program infused into
the academic core curriculum of high school students who have an IEP, diagnosed with
autism, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. STEP provides students with career
classroom instruction and the opportunity to explore different career interest areas,
narrowing down their strengths and placing students into internship/ job opportunities.
STEP provides students with the necessary skillset and the ability to compete alongside
their peers for employment upon graduating from high school yielding a smoother
classroom to work transition.
Le’Stacia worked at the Tennessee Department of Human Services as a Job Coach
assisting adults diagnosed with MR/DD in the classroom and on-the-job training. Most
recently, Le’Stacia worked with Kennesaw State University, Academy and was
responsible for assisting with key initiatives placing students in internships and jobs
preparing them to transition into their targeted career field upon completion of the
program. LeStacia is also very active in the community creating disability awareness
around employing young adults diagnosed with intellectual and/or developmental
disabilities while building and managing relationships with employers.
Warren, a 10 year Veteran of the U.S. Army serving as an enlisted member of the
802nd
Ordnance Battalion(Gainesville, GA), the 450th
Ordnance Battalion (Aiken, SC) has
completed tours in Germany and France as well as served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in
Arifjan, Kuwait and Iraq from 2002-2004.
Le’Stacia brings over 11 years of Project Management, Program Development, and
Career Coaching experience combined. Le’Stacia is a member of the Golden Key
International Professional society, holds a certification in Project Management and
Career Coaching. Le’Stacia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a
Master’s degree in Health Services Administration.
Le’Stacia currently resides in Ga.
