Non-volatile memories eNVM (ResistiveRAM & Phase change RAM) project in collaboration
with LETI:
 Writing documentation on process of alloy development by co-sputtering
 Characterization of the deposited alloys by co-sputtering or simple sputtering from one alloy target:
thickness non uniformity and composition concentration as well non uniformity
 Develop process flow on PVD tool to obtain functional thin film materials for PCM applications and
to be used in qualifying tests of the AMAT tools as sputtering tools
 Continually improving process and hardware of the tool
Co-sputtering PVD chamber development with Engineering division SCLA:
 Co-sputtering chamber development
 Process development of alloys (binary and ternary) using co-sputtering technique.
 Characterization of the alloys obtained by co-sputtering: thickness and composition
Magnetic Random Access Memories (MRAM) project in collaboration with Spintec:
 Characterization of the magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJ) by transport, magnetic/structural
measurements and translate the results into solutions in order to help the team in the development of
different tools and process on PVD tools, fast annealing ovens and IBE/RIE etch tools to obtain very
high quality MRAM products
 Develop process flow on PVD to obtain functional thin film materials for Spintronics applications and
to be used in qualifying tests of the AMAT tools (FePt L10 by multilayers, thin Co/Pt multilayers,
perpendicular MTJ) as sputtering tools, etch tools and rapid annealing ovens
 Knowledge transfer from the research environment to the industry
Magnetic Random Access Memories (MRAM) Physical Vapour deposition tool development
project:
 Consulting on Spintronics, Magnetic thin films, Magnetism topics for different teams (Metal deposition
team (MD PVD), etch team and Varian implant team
 Writing documentation on measuring techniques and data analysis on thin magnetic films for
Spintronic applications in order to support the MD PVD AMAT team and implant team from Varian
 Characterization of the magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJ) by transport, magnetic/structural
measurements and translate the results into solutions in order to help the team in the development of
different tools and process on PVD tools, fast annealing ovens and IBE/RIE etch tools to obtain very
high quality MRAM products
