Responsible for the development and operational control of all research center activities, including, but not limited to: evaluating and
implementing research projects, ensuring quality assurance of all project and staff activities, overseeing communication between
research staff and dev teams, product design and development, monitoring a research budget over $9.5M, organization development
within the university and community, and organizational management of research center and a staff of more than 35 personnel.
Key Contributions:
▪ Senior research associate working as an internal resource, providing guidance on research methodology and user experience to
design and development teams, key stakeholders, and collaborators in order to ensure informed data driven designs. Effectively
planned and conducted all internal and external research projects, while also gathering and analyzing actionable data from a wide
variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods (lab studies, heuristics, surveys, etc.)
▪ Consistently increased project efficiency, including, but not limited to: designing a universal recruitment database of past,
present, and prospective participants. Increased internal research productivity from 2 to 6 projects per quarterly review, as well as
external research productivity to 3 projects per quarterly review. Productivity increase led to an increased reinvestment of $500k
from the university, and the relocation of the research center from a 1,000 sq. ft. on-campus unit into a 4,500 sq. ft. off-campus
suite.
▪ Consistent organization expansion and growth, including, but not limited to: spearheading the creation and development of the
research center’s first expansion site at the university’s fitness and recreation center. Resultant availability of brain training games
in a health and fitness environment increased the research center’s visibility and produced a positive return in research
participation interest.
▪ Lead on product design and development, working with dev engineers to create and develop prototype testing, usability testing,
scenes, story lines, character biographies, and the implementation of cognitive gamification mechanics for all brain training

Administrative and Legislative Intern for U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein
Conducted exploratory research and submitted bill proposals for legislative assistants, wrote constituent letters, and guided
constituents through government entities such as the Department of Veteran Affairs. Worked closely with the Communications
Director and Press Secretary to address media inquiries regarding the Senator’s position on legislation, press releases, and
current events. Worked with administrative staff to orchestrate weekly constituent breakfasts with the Senator - managed scheduling
conflicts, corresponded with constituent requests, and directed setup and information sessions for the staff leading up to the event.
Key Contributions:
▪ Contributed writing efforts for speech remarks, resolutions, and proclamations presented on the Senate Floor and at special
events. Addressed issues such as the California drought crisis, sustainable energy practices, student-loan options, and quality
control in VA hospitals.
