This was a presentation that me and my group made in order to show what genre conventions a rom com has.

3. The titles… The titles represents the
comicalness to the film.
The tiles are also colourful
which also shows the
audience that it’s not a
serious film.

4. The setting
Rom Coms setting is usually based at
school where the two characters
meet. Other Rom coms like this are
clueless; mean girls and wild child.

5. The introduction of the main characters
The main characters in rom com are
always introduced on there own.
The main characters are always a
male and a female.

The way other main
characters are
introduced is
through comedy.

7. Introduction of the characters
Introduction of the two main characters
(male). Not only does this represent the
introduction of the characters but the camera
angle shows that they are both main
characters because the mid shot makes them
look equal.

beginning of the film
and falls in love by the
end…
